COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bright copper color, sparkling clarity, and good foam retention when properly served. Appealing Brussels lace. Deep toasty/caramelly malt balanced by spicy/fruity hop flavors accented by fruit esters resulting from fermentation with a championship yeast strain. The aroma is subtle and reflects the flavor with malt, hop and fruit (ester)/fermentation characteristics. Smooth, medium-bodied. Easy drinking with no harsh or astringent sensations.

Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy dark amber color with a moderate light tan head on it. Nose is quite malt forward, with a little bit of caramel and toasting in there. I also get some earthiness in there, as well. Taste is a bit odd - slightly bitter up front, but finishes with what seems like a slightly sweetened iced tea. Not bad, but not something I would seek out again.

Quite good! Beautiful color... Seriously a absolute perfect pub beer...so easy to drink with almost abut of fruitiness in addition to its commercial description... So good ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

From notes verbatim on 11/5/10 A: Deep cherry brown with low visibility. Low cream atop as a fine foam. S: Nice. Vanilla, cara pils, honey. Very ESB. T: Good early bitter hops. Nice roasty flavor at end. I like. M: Thicker than I had anticipated for an ESB, but not bad. Fine lively carbonation. D: Good beer if was served around here I would drink. Split a bottle with friends. Poured a relatively clear, dark amber color with a medium sized white head. Aroma was notes of sweet caramel notes, nice toffee, dark fruits. Flavor was nice, dried dark fruits, some notes of caramel, light sweetness. Nice light earthy hop taste. Pretty darn drinkable.
