RCL (1443), Waltham, Massachusetts, USA Feb 23, 2007 This is some damn easy drinking beer! It’s nice to see that Alesmith can pull off the session beers as well as the big bad muthas. Flawless balance of malt and hops. Tmoney99 (4655), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA Feb 20, 2007 Bottle at The Local, SD, CA. Poured clear dark amber hue with huge frothy off-white head that Mostly lasted with good lacing. Heavy aroma of hops, malt and apple cider. Medium to full body. Well balanced flavor of malt, hops and fruit with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. This is a standout brew. padrefan98 (787), (San Diego) Santee, California, USA Feb 14, 2007 22 OZ bottle, mild flavor. I could tast the fruit really coming through on this one. Nice hops not to strong. bikesandbeers (468), Los Angeles, California, USA Jan 24, 2007 22oz bottle. deep amber with a thin whit head super malty nose. sweet fruity flavor with a clean finish. probaly the best ESB I’ve had. geographylists (26), San Diego, California, USA Jan 16, 2007 Rather sweet, definitely caramel-flavored. Malt definitely overpowers the hops and yeast. Very good fruity aroma. The taste could be a little more bitter--but then that’s probably more my preference in beer. realale420 (399), west covina, California, USA Jan 15, 2007 22oz bottle pored a dark copper color with a nice off white head. Aromas of caramel malts and mild hopping. Taste was smooth and well balanced with caramel malts being the key. Wonderfull fruit esters from the yeast strain come through in the finish. A very well crafted ESB. Zimmo (57), Siloam Springs, Arkansas, USA Jan 12, 2007 22 oz bottle. Pours copper, with the biggest head I’ve ever seen (something must be wrong.. big bubbles in head with lacing all the way from bottom of the glass top.
