COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bright copper color, sparkling clarity, and good foam retention when properly served. Appealing Brussels lace. Deep toasty/caramelly malt balanced by spicy/fruity hop flavors accented by fruit esters resulting from fermentation with a championship yeast strain. The aroma is subtle and reflects the flavor with malt, hop and fruit (ester)/fermentation characteristics. Smooth, medium-bodied. Easy drinking with no harsh or astringent sensations.

Bomber from BevMo in Pasadena, CA. Deep hazy orange with tangerine highlites and a fairly sizable medium tan head. Aroma of toasted malt, nuts, some citrus zest, toffee and hops. Crisp hoppy flavor in lock-step with a solid malty backbone. Plenty more nutty and minerally flavors as well with a slight fruity sweetness. Silky mouthfeel and a wonderfully dry, bitter and crisp finish. Alesmith is completly unavailable in NJ so I was thrilled to get my hands on this while on vacation.

Bottle. Slightly cloudy, ruddy orange color. Aroma is "hoppy" (that’s all I wrote on my pad, it must’ve been deep into the night). Flavor is earthy, mildly hoppy and somewhat bitter. Mouthfeel is nice, crisp and clean with great bubbles. This is a good beer, but my least favorite of the AleSmith family.

Sampled at the brewery. Nice clear orange brown hues (couldnt tell from the plastic glass). Aromas of hops, honey and wood. Flavor excelently balanced of hops, malts and a hint of fruits. With a medium body and very easydrinking finish, lightly and refreshingly bitter end.

1 Pint, 6 oz. Bottle: This San Diego brew has a clear copper color like the skin of many a sun bather on the beach down there. The aromas waft hints of caramel and dates and/or figs into the nasal territory. The taste is rich and sweet, pitted fruit flavors, followed by an enduring blunt bitterness. The feel is pretty thin with not much carbonation. Not bad! Thanks Indiana_Red for sharing this trade.

Bottle Pours a clear orange/copper color with a small sandy head. Aromas of honey and sweet light malts. Flavor is light wody malts, light on the hops, and overall drinkable. Lively carbonation, and fairly light on the pallate. I expected a heavier bodied enty in this style but it was tasty overall. Had this sitting in my cellar before I got around to drinking it.

In the bomber bottle at The Local in SD. Pours a cloudy light brown with a thin white head. Surprisingly, there’s just not much here. Low carbonation, nearly flat. Fruity sweet aroma and flavor. Very smooth palate, but overall, a boring disappointment.

the flavor is terrific, but it’s just a little watered down. quite malty though really balanced all around. not as good as Fuller’s, but only for lack of power.

Cask-conditioned 6/9 @ the San Diego Real Ale Festival (Pizza Port Carlsbad). Pours a deep copper color with an off-white small creamy head that diminishes slowly leaving nice lacing. Hoppy aroma is fruity and spicy as well as the flavor leaving a mild bitter finish. Very drinkable!
