greenhorn1 (458), Mission Viejo, California, USA May 9, 2009 22 oz bottle. Not my favorite style of beer, but I just was not impressed. Toasted caramel malt and fruity flavor. A bit watered down with a metallic aftertaste. However, it pours a beautiful clear mahogany color. scrizzz (1252), kirkland, Washington, USA May 8, 2009 Light mahogany with a crazy creamy head. Delicate fruity strawberry head. Seriously. Fresh strawberry in the first sip, what the hell? Second sip too. Say what you will, this is my experience. Fruity throughout with a earthy malt finish. But where’s the bitterness? Very good beer and I really enjoyed it, but more as an amber and less as an ESB. Alasdair (76), New Zealand May 4, 2009 aroma of caramel and toffee, spice, and a touch of marmalade. Excellent carbonation and mouthfeel. Toasted bread-crusts, with a gentle bitterness and a hint of hop flavour. Seriously chewy malt flavour - if you were being kind iit’s voluptuous. Adam77 (407), Eastampton, New Jersey, USA Apr 29, 2009 Pine and citrus flavor. Some caramel in the finish. Finished dry. Feelings are mixed. tjthresh (1750), Greenfield, Indiana, USA Apr 9, 2009 22 ounce bottle from Smokepot23. Pours bright copper with a lasting tan head. The nose is plenty of toasty and bready malt, and berry esters. Flavorful bready malts with a bit of herbal hops. Medium body with a dry finish. Tasty beer. boFNjackson (1233), Portland, Oregon, USA Apr 5, 2009 Bottle... Poured deep amber with a thick off-white head. Spiced, fruity and candy-sweet aroma. Lots of carbonation with fruity ester flavors and smooth malt flavors with a mild hop presence. A great ale. shawnm213 (884), South Bend, Indiana, USA Mar 30, 2009 not my favorite. not a lot going on here. bitter. light body. got at bevmo in sandiego yobdoog (1429), Woodridge NY, New York, USA Mar 27, 2009 Hoppy and nice pale qualities.
