COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bright copper color, sparkling clarity, and good foam retention when properly served. Appealing Brussels lace. Deep toasty/caramelly malt balanced by spicy/fruity hop flavors accented by fruit esters resulting from fermentation with a championship yeast strain. The aroma is subtle and reflects the flavor with malt, hop and fruit (ester)/fermentation characteristics. Smooth, medium-bodied. Easy drinking with no harsh or astringent sensations.

Very light head on it with rich copper color. Fruity and a bit of hop, but the malt is a nice rich flavor to balanace it out. Not what I was expecting, but a very nice ale.

Sort of bitter in a piney way. This is no bitter, I'd call it an APA with the amount of hops in this. Comes in a damn big bottle! A bit of an oily mouthfeel.

Not much of a head on this one with only slight lacing in the glass. Reminds me alot like Fullers ESB. Has that English thing going on just not as bitter as an English ESB. Overall nice tasting beer.

Clear copper with a thin white lacy head and a pleasant, lightly bitter aroma. Great caramel malt character with a touch of toasted malt and moderate bitterness. Flavor is smooth, sweet and clean. One of the best bitters I have had.

Amber in color. Malty, sweet hoppy nose. I am tasting lots of lemon zest in here with somewhat of a bite as well. Very smooth to drink with a full mouthfeel. Nothing "sharp" about this beer; all of the flavors meld together.

Very attractive crystal clear amber colored ale. Slight hop aroma. Very subtle light bodied ale. Carmel malt flavor with a light hop follow through. A very smooth beer but a bit to subtle for my taste.

Nice amber beer. Beautiful to look at and a very pleasant drink. I took my first sip while it was still in the bottle then took the second from a pinter. Subtle improved flavor and nose from the pint. Nice rich beer with a nice bite. Could use a pinch more hops but that's coming from a huge hop head. Oh...A bit pricey. Ouch!

Caramel-toffee! Beautiful color, nice slightly-offwhite head, just and excellent bitter. I'm more of a fan of Belgian ales, but I must admit this is a superb ESB. Without a doubt, one of the best bitters I've even had. Smooooooooth as silk.

I just judged this style in a local homebrew competition, and boy do I wish we had one of these. Aroma is caramel malt, some light fruit and spicy hops. It is a brilliant clear copper color with good head retention. The flavor is big caramel malt up front, but nicely balanced with hop bitterness and flavor. Mouthfeel is medium with moderate carbonation. A perfect example of the ESB style.
