COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bright copper color, sparkling clarity, and good foam retention when properly served. Appealing Brussels lace. Deep toasty/caramelly malt balanced by spicy/fruity hop flavors accented by fruit esters resulting from fermentation with a championship yeast strain. The aroma is subtle and reflects the flavor with malt, hop and fruit (ester)/fermentation characteristics. Smooth, medium-bodied. Easy drinking with no harsh or astringent sensations.

En välbalanserad och god öl med en något tunn kropp. Smaken är väldigt ’disktrasig’ och fruktig. Slutsats: bra öl men ändå lite av en besvikelse (allmänt höga föväntningar).

Bottle. Aroma has raisins and berries but is quite malty. Flavor is a bit bland but has toffee, raisins and berries. Not that bitter for an ESB. Mouthfeel is overly carbonated.

Great pour: Amber, big white creamy head, very good head retention. After the first few gulps its quite clear that this beer is certainly a session beer. Quite flavoursome along with the extreme drinkability this beer is a very good session ale, but not one you drink for extreme tastes.

Bottle from 16 Tons, Eugene. Pours a dark brown amber color, good amount of head. Aroma sweet and toasty but not decadent, Malty but sharp. Body somewhat thin, finish underwhelming. A little flat for me, maybe this has suffered a bit with age, much less impressive than Alesmith’s other options.

Bottle: pour is clear caramel in hue, with a frothy and slightly chunky off white head in this glass. The nose is slightly nutty, toffee, and a bit of fruit esters here. The flavor is initial light bittering hops, nuts, toffee, toast, light fruit esters here. It has a smooth light body , and reminds of their pale in terms of feeling. Yet another nice drinker here
