Commercial Description:
Bright copper color, sparkling clarity, and good foam retention when properly served. Appealing Brussels lace. Deep toasty/caramelly malt balanced by spicy/fruity hop flavors accented by fruit esters resulting from fermentation with a championship yeast strain. The aroma is subtle and reflects the flavor with malt, hop and fruit (ester)/fermentation characteristics. Smooth, medium-bodied. Easy drinking with no harsh or astringent sensations.

A hazy amber beer with an orange head. The aroma is very hoppy on a subdued sweet background. The flavor is hoppy and flowery.

(Bottle 65 cl) Beautiful dark amber with a small, off-white head. Fat, flowery and slightly perfumy aroma hops in the nose. Body is dominated by sweetish caramel and toffee. Quite light and very drinkable with a faint, dry, bitter whiff from the aroma hops. Doesn’t at all remind me of a British-style ESB, more like a watered-down American Barleywine. And that’s not a bad thing.... 160106

Sampled draught at Stuffed Sandwich, Greater Los Angeles.
Nut brown, creamy head. Restrained sweetness. Deep pleasant malt character with well balanced flowery hop character and pleasant orangey finish with good bitterness. And here wai I thinking that AleSmith could only excel at weirdo over-the-top style beers, then they do the best non-cask bitter I’ve ever had...

22 fl oz bottle. Pours clear and golden orange with a collapsing light tan head. Mild lemonish to citrusy aroma with a mild sweet touch. Light spiced and towards light liqourice note. Mild fruity hoppy and a mild sweetness coming through. Bitter and slight acidic finish. Nice and refreshing.

Earthy, fuggley, quality brew - nice restrained English-style brew. Surprisingly unassertive for AleSmith.

Golden orange with minimal head. British bitter aroma -- hoppy and holding great promise. Solid British flavor, very true to style. Solid beer, leaves nice moist hoppy aftertaste.
