COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Anvil ESB is our interpretation of a traditional British-style pub ale. Deep amber in color, a toasty character from British malts and a touch of kettle caramelization blend seamlessly with a mild English hop profile. Its delicate balance of flavors will keep you coming back pint after pint, making it a complex creation we’re proud to call our flagship beer.

Probably the best ESB I've had in the states! Highly recommended if you're a fan of the style. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Taster at the brewery. Amber copper color with small white head. Aroma is toffee, caramel, dark bread crust. Taste is richer than you’d expect from an ESB. Dark bread crust, caramel, a bit vanilla, moderately bitter finish. Super smooth Pub Ale mouthfeel. Probably the best ESB I’ve ever had.

From bomber, possibly outdated. Poured with an extremely thick, cloud-like head and deep orange-amber body. Aroma is very sweet caramel/molasses with vanilla and some breadiness. Flavor is biscuity, subtly bitter with a pale sweetness overriding it. Carbonation very high (seeing as it is bottle-conditioned, this may be an old batch). Albeit not very fresh, still very drinkable.

Biscuit malt aroma, with a US style hop influence in the background . Very complex for a 5% beer.
