Bottle #199. The color is deep red with a slight hazy hanging in the beer and with no head. The aroma is very sweet and very malty with strong notes of caramel, but also with signs of the alcohol. The flavor contains strong notes of wood and alcohol, combined with notes of caramel and vanilla, as well as light notes of whiskey. The alcohol tickles the tongue while drinking, and mouthfeel is thick.

(Bottle 75 cl) Pours a clear orangey brown with a very limited head. Aroma of raisins and bourbon - a very distinctive and pleasant aroma that is. Good, full body, slightly tart with massive alcohol. Notes of dried fruit - raisins in particular - raisins soaked in rum, or rather Bourbon as the oak and vanilla really shines through. Lots of roasted malt. Subdued bitterness. A lovely brew. 020606

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20 omhper (15956) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - NOV 17, 2008
Bottled, thanks Marsblursi! Deep mahogany colour, brief bubbly head. Aroma of vanilla and caramel. Sweet and softly malty. Full bodied and velvetty, chocolatey and syrupy with lots of bourbon and spun sugar. A massive and compelc beer with a richness that is seldom seen. The character of teh Wee Heavy is really well suited for barrel aging, and this is nicely done. In the finish warming alcohol prevails. A mindlowing beer. If there is anything i could change I’d try to make it less sweet.

Courtesy of Yespr; vintage 2005, bottle 127/222 Very dark brown color; no head. The oak aroma is wonderful, with rich caramel and malt. Solid body, with an extremely rich malt and caramel flavor, very sweet; it has a oily texture; the vanilla is well present but not overwhelming; the bitterness is very low; there is a light touch of liquorice that is not very appreciated. The alcohol is well hidden. The final is rather short. Excellent end of out tasting tonight!

Dark hazed mahogany with a medium beige head. Sweet vinioius with plenty of roasted malt, caramel and bourbon notes. Flavour was sweet with overripe fruits, roasted malt, caramel and sherry. This one blew my mind. So vinious and harmonic.

2005 Bottle Nr. 15/220. @ Brugmansia/Fonefan US Tasting, April 2010. Pours dark unclear brown with a small bubbly head on top. Nose is very vinous. Port, oak, toffee, vanilla and dark fruit. Medium and smooth palate. Low carbonation. Havy and complex with vague alcohol in the background. Reminds me a bit of Bourbon county stout. Pleasant warmth. Very tasty!
