Commercial Description:
The third offering in our series of Decadence Anniversary Ales, is a big, rich Imperial Porter. Brewed to the parameters of a classic Porter, Decadence 2007 has the intense aromas of dark malt and chocolate complimented by a lusciously smooth mouthfeel. The flavor is rich and malty, and balanced with just the right amount of English East Kent Goldings hops. The aftertaste will leave you pining for more, so don’t miss out on this release of Decadence 2007. Once it’s gone, it’s gone!

Pitch black pour with a good tan mocha head. Aroma is luscious with a myriad of smells of cocoa, alcohol, and malt. Of course a velvet perfect rich mouthfeel. Flavors of molasses, chocolate, malt, and perfect bitter hops on the back end. a bit dry on the finish. Fantastic brew!

Pours with a large, foamy, light brown head, very dark brown body. Aroma of plums, rum soaked raisins, chocolate, and cocoa powder. Extremely mouth coating feeling...very, very syrupy. Very sweet and chocolatey up front with some sticky toffee too. A bit of bitter coffee rounds out the finish. Amazingly good desert drink (goes well with vanilla ice cream, and tastes amazing as a float). As a side note, I am going to go buy a bottle tomorrow and age it for about 4.5 years, to make a killer winter desert treat.

Poured brown with a tan head. The flavor was fairly roasty with nice chocolate notes. The flavor was smooth with the alcohol mostly hidden other than the warmth. Nice roasted aroma. Medium body.

Pours a nearly opaque black with a stringy-lacing tan head. Aroma of sweet sugary dark caramel and chocolate with some plum character. Body starts with good thickness and sweet sticky dark malts with plenty of dark chocolatey notes. Finishes silky smooth with some warmth and lingering dark chocolate character. A pretty good imperial porter that should age well.

Black with a red hue and a frothy tan head. Gassy chocolate and caramel aroma with a hint of leather. Sweet, fruity and alcoholic, with flavors of vanilla, chocolate and caramel. Has a bit of sticky hops and a relatively high bitterness. I think I would like this better as a regular porter. The flavors are all there but there is no reason for the alcohol.

Really creamy. Toffee, malt, vanilla and coffee. A bit of alcohol warming presence. Really wonderful. I will age several bottles of this one.

(Bottle purchased recently, no vintage on the bottle, but it was an Imperial Porter) Nice big chocolate aroma, with underlying hints of dark fruits and roast. Pours an opaque black with a thick tan head. Flavor has strong roasted notes, touches of chocolate and coffee, and a hint of vanilla. Alcohol is well hidden. Finish is all bittersweet chocolate. A really nice beer that I’d like to pick up some more of to cellar.
