Aroma has a lot of chocolate and roasted malt. Taste is also chocolate (dark) dominant with roasted malt, cocoa and a little vanilla. Good mouthfeel with a long bitter and deep roasted malt finish. Good stuff, I would like to try it in a non-tasting setting. stegosaurus (1882), Levittown, Pennsylvania, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 4, 2008 Bottle… SMAACMSM O-Town Throwdown, Part Sept… Cloudy, dark mahogany ale with a small, creamy, khaki head. Great retention and interesting lacework. The subtle, earthy aroma coveys rich notes of chocolate, wood and toasted nuts, but is too restrained to easily enjoy. Full-bodied and silky with soft carbonation. Chocolaty, earthy flavor. Moderately sweet, but boozy and heavily bitter. Finishes bitter and a tad hot. Thanks to TheCheeseMan, for sharing this one with the O-Town Crew! Acknud (772), Morganfield, Kentucky, USA

Delicious aroma of roasted malt and chocolate. Creamy in the mouth. Taste is as above with a slight lingering hop bitterness. This stuff is great. SuzyGreenberg (1337), Seattle, Washington, USA

| 5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 5/5 | 10/10 | 5/5 | 20/20 | Jun 3, 2008 OMG! Pours blackish w/ a tall, thick and creamy froth that just sits there like a Ford pick up truck on th side of the road. Snail tracks are revealed on the sidewalls as the head recedes. Superb lacing. The aroma is fresh and mildly roasted w/ dark chocolate and minerals. Full nectar w/ excellent carbonation creating a slighty creamy texture. Juicy chunks of dark chocolate and mildly roasted coffee bean are in the foreground w/ a committed hop bittering that burns a bit as the brew goes down. This thing is absolutely beautiful. A moderate sweetness factors in w/ flavors of leather, charcoal, and black cherry. 07 is very fresh tasting and very much alive. It finishes w/ lingering chocolate and citrus rind. Great balance. Beautiful, just beautiful! Donald Trump approved decadence. Tmoney99 (4716), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA

Pours dark reddish/brown with an average frothy brown head that mostly lasted with excellent lacing. Heavy complex roasted coffee, chocolate, vanilla and alcohol aroma. Medium to full body with a dry smooth texture. Heavy Belgian chocolatte bittersweet flavor with a medium to heavy bittersweet finish of long duration. This is a standout brew. dchmela (1426), Orlando, Florida, USA

Hershey chocolate bars and roasted grain with hints of vanilla and bourbon. Now that is aroma! Another beer that needed a few moments to take in the aroma before tasting. Taste is smooth roasted grain with lots of chocolate, very tasty. Finish is a little thick a bitter chocolate aftertaste. Just wonderful, thanks cheese!
