Pours a good looking solid brown with dark ruby red edges and a large tight bubbly beige head. Aroma of old chocolate pudding, dark fruits (mainly figs, and berries), dark breads and some artificial sweetners. Medium bodied with average yet tight and bubbly carbonation. Flavor comes across as mostly roasty with lots of chocolate and coffee with some latent dark fruits and a good dose of bitterness towards the aftertaste. This one is still drinking very nicely and probably will hold on for another year or two minimum. Oh yeah almost forgot about the super hidden 10% ABV, I’m sure I’ll notice that in an hour!!!

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 31, 2009 The first whiff off the bottle was dark syrupy fruits. It poured into the glass an unsurprising black with an off-white head. The aroma did was malty but didn’t match up with the flavor which was malty, thick slight coffee. My friend said it was more like a stout and it did seem like a speedway junior as others have described. Overall, a very decent beer but not quite as good as the previous two Decadence beers. Damn you Alesmith!

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Mar 26, 2009 pour a deep black with just a slight amount of light coming through near the top, with a bubbly beige head. Aroma if big on milk chocolate, roasted malt, coffee, and some molasses. Flavor is quite nice, this reminds me alot of an imperial stout, but minus the booziness, and the thick mouthfeel, and over the top sweetness. The mouthfeel is perfect not too thick, not too thin. The alcohol is nowhere to be found. This is dangerously drinkable! Lots of great roasted malt flavors, mixed with coffee, and milk chocolate, with touches of molasses, and even a little borwn sugar. Really a quality beer. coyotehunter (546), , Michigan, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 21, 2009 Bottle from MrBunn. Pours a watery black with a tall tan head. Aromas of licorice, fruit and chocolate. Heavy chocolate hits the tongue, followed by molasses and anise. Finishes a bit watery and not so exciting. Very good, but not the level I expected. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 21, 2009 Bottle. Pour is an odd mixture of dark brown, big head and watery appearance. It’s just not as viscous as I expected. Aromas are a great mix of chocolate and dark fruit. Flavor is OK, but mouthfeel is too watery. Chocolate and roasted malt are the main draws, but there are some dark fruit and anise undercurrents. radiomgb (1957), Peterborough, Ontario, Canada
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 21, 2009 Very dark brown in colour with a large and lingering beige head, good lacing. The aroma is very roasty, lots of malt, some alcohol, moderate sweetness, sweet milk chocolate. The flavour is very sweet with lots of malt, chocolate, the alcohol makes to attemp to hide. Warming mouthfeel, medium/large body, medium carbonation. Finishes long, sweet and warm.
Its quite nice. It started out with the alcohol taking a backseat but as this warmed up so did the alcohol.

| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Feb 24, 2009 Bottle. Pours black with light khaki head, decent lacing. Nose is chocolate, roast and bourbon, slight caramel. Tate is chocolate and roast, mild caramel, solid moderate bitter and a good alcohol bite. Mouth feel is moderately watery, but still relatively creamy. A nicely balanced porter that is ripe for aging, but ruled as is.
