COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
AleSmith Decadence is a dark Weizenbock featuring malted wheat and a unique German yeast. A complex blend of rich, dark fruit flavors and a yeast derived spiciness create a deliciously balanced beer. Dark ruby hues and smooth full-bodied mouthfeel are highlighted in this classic Bavarian style.

Bottle from SJ. Finally completed my Decadence set. Nice notes of caramel malt, dark fruit, toast and spice. The finish was sweet with notes of bread and wheat. Excellent.

Traded bottle finally enjoyed in FL. Wow that’s nice. Tons of sweeter caramel malt with almost a hint of smoke. A slight lingering bitterness. Very nice.

Bottle. Pours a dark amber color with a small longlasting off-white head. Has a fruity wheat malty spicy weak yeasty caramel and banana aroma. Sweetish wheat malty spicy banana and caramel dark fruit flavor. Has a sweetish wheat malty spicy banana and caramel finish with hints of dark fruit.

Hazy brown color with a small, off white head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of caramel, nuts, light banana, spices, and strong oxidation. Taste of dark fruits, oxidation, light caramel, and spices, with faint alcohol in the finish. Unfortunately, probably passed it’s peak..

Pours murky, unclear dark amber brown with a tan head. Aroma brings some aged tangy yeast and malts, but pleasant and a bit of sweetness comes from the tang. The flavor brings aged, zesty yeast as well. Unfortunately it has been oxidized a bit, but is still good.

Bottle.
Pours deep chestnut brown with a nice, creamy, beige head. Aroma has chocolate, chestnut, wheat, hazelnuts, light liqourice. Medium carbonation, lovely dry and creamy mouthfeel. Flavour is roasted, sweet wheat, hazelnuts and only vinious enough to balance everything out wonderfully.

Old notes tasted in 2010. Appears deep reddish brown with a light tan head. Smells of rich malt, banana, dark fruit and grapes. Taste follows smell with a touch of chocolate. Medium body and quite highly carbonated. Delicious beer!
