4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
750 ml bottle poured into a brandy snifter. The beer is an ugly, murky brown color with a beige head foam. The aroma has a musty fruit quality to it that makes the toffee and molasses notes come through especially well. Medium sweetness with leathery notes in the taste. Medium, velvety carbonation. Big body. Nice.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a deep, reddish-brown, with little by way of head. Aroma of fermented fruit and some booziness. Flavor is very sweet, a bit on the cloying side. Plum, currant, candy, a load of booze. Tastes better as it warms.
