COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Now, seventeen years after we started, we’re proud to present another great addition in this ongoing series. AleSmith Decadence® 2012 is a big Belgian-style quadruple ale. A variety of Belgian malts impart notes of bread and ripe fruit with subtle hints of cloves and molasses. Its creamy mouthfeel is balanced by a rich, full-bodied finish. This rare offering is meant to be savored and will age nicely.

Brown bread, wine, raisins, dark fruit, and molasses in the aroma. Flavor starts sweet and bready, with apple, raisin, and caramel. Some fruit bitterness, spice, and alcohol in a dry finish. This is a great representation of a great beer style. If you’re in the mood to treat yourself, this is a fine choice.

Bottle (750 ml). Shared by mathieuc, thanks! Clear dark amber with a medium persistent beige head and good lacing. Aroma is of raisins, candi sugar, hints of sweetness, molasses, dark fruits, some oxydation notes, spices and some Belgiumness. Taste is moderately sweet with raisins, spices, malt, candi sugar, molasses, dark fruits and just the right amount of alcohol warming in the finish. Full bodied. Good carbonation. Chewy mouthfeel. Spciy finish. Wow! This is a very good Quad. Taste, complex and great balance. Well done AleSmith!

bottle shared by mathieuc, thanks bro. pours clear ruby-copper with a frothy light beige-reddish head, good retention and lacing. raisins-plenty, other dried dark red fruits; doughy, nutty, fruity and chewy caramel, belgian yeast, few bananas/bubblegum, dark candi, pepper, other spices - cardamom. moderate carbonation, light to medium body - lean for its abv, bittering grassy-spicy finish. very good!
