Grand Cru is a dark chestnut-colored Belgian-style Ale with vibrant fermentation aromas of fruity esters and spicy phenols. A sweet caramel malt, raisin, and plum-like character combines with the complex fermentation profile of our Belgian yeast strain and hints of bittersweet chocolate in the finish. Its full body and velvety mouthfeel make for a slow and satisfying drinking experience. Grand Cru is meant to be savored and will age nicely.

Purchased 750 ML bottle @ Liquor Barn in Redding, CA. My bottle poured a deep amber color, with a tan colored head that collapsed quickly due to the alcohol content. No Brussels lace. The bouquet: raisins, chocolate, with a nice whiff of a great Belgian yeast strain. The palate: light, balanced hoppiness, with a powerful raisiny, toffeish, caramel mouthtaste. The finish: good aftertaste, begging for me to have another sip! Definitely serve this at cellar temperature- 58 - 62F for optimum flavor. Praise the LORD for great beers like this!

Taster at the brewery. Brown-copper color with fine beige ring. Raisins, prunes, not sweet! A hint of coffee, some spices, dried fruits. A bit booze in the end, just a little bit warming. Silky mouthfeel. Superbly balanced, feels lighter than you’d expect.

Very, very nice. Think of this as Quad-lite. Solid quad characteristics all the way, but just a bit lighter all the way around.
