COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle conditioned.
Grand Cru is a dark chestnut-colored Belgian-style Ale with vibrant fermentation aromas of fruity esters and spicy phenols. A sweet caramel malt, raisin, and plum-like character combines with the complex fermentation profile of our Belgian yeast strain and hints of bittersweet chocolate in the finish. Its full body and velvety mouthfeel make for a slow and satisfying drinking experience. Grand Cru is meant to be savored and will age nicely.

Bottle: #1000! Up til now I’ve trying anything I can get my hands on; from now on I’ll focus on the best that I can get. AleSmith is definitely a brewery I´ll always prefer, they really make great brews with attention to detail. Prost and going for the next 1,000.

Draft at Bru Craft. Clear mahogany brown pour with no head at all. Plummy dark red fruit. Fairly juicy and very sweet but with a bit of spice on the end. Raisin brandy flambee. Glossy chocolate liquorice. Black currants. Homemade root beer. Vegemite. Anchovies. Worcestershire sauce. Merlot. Celery root. Bamboo shoots. Shittake mushrooms. Oyster sauce. Dark caramel toffees. The alcohol feels more prominent as it warms. Medium syrupy body. More complex than expected. Definitely a sipper.
