COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Horny Devil is our interpretation of a Belgian-style Golden Ale. Brewed with authentic Belgian ingredients including candi sugar and a Trappist yeast strain, its fruity and spicy aromas include notes of orange, banana, and peppercorns. Coriander seeds add refreshing citrus notes which meld seamlessly with the beer’s delicate malt. Horny Devil finishes with a lively carbonation and a refreshingly dry finish.

750ml bottle shared @Mad For Beer (Rome) with ippopotamo36. Deep, unclear amber color with a decent off-white foam. Aroma is caramel, toffee, honey, brown sugar, no traces of hops. Flavour is powerful but unbalanced and a bit boring, very sweet, honey, toffee, caramel, some yellow fruits in the end. Medium to full body, low carbonation. So so...

Spicy aroma of coriander. Real Belgian like with some citrus and lemon rind. The caramel candidate like character balances this one out greatly. Big carbonation and great spicy finish!

[2/19/15] Draught at Alesmith in San Diego. Clear golden. Pleasant fruity esters aroma with a spicy hint. Sweet flavor, fruity, with a bit of alcohol and a phenolic note. Medium-bodied.

This is the AleSmith incarnation of a Belgian Strong Ale. Horny Devil is an authentic Belgian Style ale, from the Belgian candi sugar right down to the yeast, a Belgian strain from a Trappist monastery in Belgium. In addition to the malts, candi sugar and fresh hops, there is also a little added twist from coriander seeds, which impart a refreshing citrus flavor to an outstanding ale. Belgian ale lovers around the world have raved about Horny Devil, and you will too.

Keg at BD Shoreditch, London. It pours a slightly unclear golden color with a large white head that sticks around. Aroma is sweet and estery, with bug banana and biscuit notes, some caramel and toffee. Taste is medium sweet and lightly crispy and citrusy in the finish. Light booze. Notes of honey, apples, banana, bread and bubble-gum. Medium to full bodied with good carbonation. Overall, ok Belgian ale

Tap at brewery. Pours extremely clear yellow with creamy white head. Aroma is cereal malts, alcohol spice, belgian yeast notes, citrus, and some floral notes. Flavor is rich and malty with tons of yeast esters, spice, and smooth hop character with a boozy finish. Medium/full body and medium carbonation.

Very easy to drink. Refreshing and sweet. Not my style at all but I liked it a lot, not that much banana and peppers that I find in pale belgian beers.
