COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Horny Devil is our interpretation of a Belgian-style Golden Ale. Brewed with authentic Belgian ingredients including candi sugar and a Trappist yeast strain, its fruity and spicy aromas include notes of orange, banana, and peppercorns. Coriander seeds add refreshing citrus notes which meld seamlessly with the beerís delicate malt. Horny Devil finishes with a lively carbonation and a refreshingly dry finish.

KSBF 04, Thanks jeffin7 ! Decent white, lasting, Hazy, dark gold color, at least thats what i could see in the dimly lit parking garage. Spicey, buttery nose, very fragerant. Medium body, velvetty, creamy mouthfeel. Fruity, spicey, coriander flavors, lightly toffeeish, melons and some black pepper notes. Toasty malt notes in the background. Finish is dry, lasting, very gentle on the palate. I dig this beer! One of yer better tailgating brews. Thanks Jeff!

Hazy rich amber colour. Coriander and malt and pineapple and spice and then more of the same in the flavours. Fortunately itís all the complexity I wanted - big in the mouth and very smnooth although not without noticeable alcohol. It was the finish of a varied and big night of tasting so it might have been slightly difficult to discern it all - very nice.

UPDATED: MAR 27, 2006 Poured a hazy copper color with a small off white head and light lacing on the glass. Aroma of yeast, sweet caramel, spices, citrus, and floral hops. More spice and yeast in the taste, reminded me of a tripel. A real taste bud pincher, this was way to dark to be a tripel, however.

UPDATED: JAN 22, 2005 Poured a light peach. Nice head. Some lacing. The nose is loaded with banana esters, pears, mandarin oranges, sweet malts and lots and lots of coriander. Mango, pineapple, peanut butter, green grapes, black peppers, banana and coriander throughout. Fluffy in the mouth and quite lovely.

I did not enjoy this beer at all. The pour was golden with no head. The flavor was sweet and spicy but overloaded with alcohol. Quite disgusting. I couldnít finish it.

Aroma was strong corriander spice, malts and yeasts, herbal hops, pepper. Appearance - fabulous - glowing hazy orange brown topped with a fluffy off white head. Taste was sweet plums, fruit, malt upfront and followed by a HUGE corriander / pepper hit at the finish - a lot of spice at the back of my throat making me almost cough (Chris too). Iíve got to wonder if I aged a bottle of this for a year or two if the spices would cool down a bit. Anyway, the strong alcohol of this one left me feeling quite woozy!

Dark orange glow with not much head on top. You can smell the coriander and yeast the most, then a grassy citrus, mostly orange. Flavor is a dry sweetness, almost overly sweet. Taste is somewhat dissapointing overall. It seems to lack complexity I was hoping for. I think it is just too dominated by the coriander.

Poured orangey yellow with almost no head at all...didnít seem very carbonated at all...smells orange and coriander and alcohol sweetness...tasted sweet and orangey with a lot of that sweetness attributed to alcohol...did I mention I canít stand orange? Anyway, dry sticky mouthfeel and taste...not impressed...found it quite cloying...

UPDATED: SEP 1, 2004 Cloudy orange-peach in colour. Aroma had huge amounts of coriander and malt. Flavour was quite spicy, lots of coriander, malt and pepper. Finished with a medium peppery spiced bitterness. Why all the coriander? Thanks for the opportunity to try this Sven.
