COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Horny Devil is our interpretation of a Belgian-style Golden Ale. Brewed with authentic Belgian ingredients including candi sugar and a Trappist yeast strain, its fruity and spicy aromas include notes of orange, banana, and peppercorns. Coriander seeds add refreshing citrus notes which meld seamlessly with the beer’s delicate malt. Horny Devil finishes with a lively carbonation and a refreshingly dry finish.

Second best beer I’ve ever had (only Trappistes Rochefort 10 beats this). This truely is ’little drops of heaven. And it’s made in the good old USA! Who says American beer is no good? Make them drink this!

Bottle. Poured a cloudy amber color with no head or lacing. Amazing aroma of coriander, apricot, and maybe a little citrus to it. Excellent full mouthfeel. Complex flavor. Definite coriander start, with a strong alcohol taste to it as well. Finish is almost peach-like. A great offering from Alesmith.

Cerveja de coloração dourada, aroma frutado de banana, laranja. Notas cítricas ao beber e final refrescante seco e quente. Notas apimentadas no retrogosto. Uma das melhores, sensacional. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

"MMMMM this one was awsome. Poured a cloudy orange color with a nice head on top. Had a spicy aroma to it. Could taste the candi suger and yeast. This beer also hid the alcohol very well. AM a huge fan of this beer."

Sampled on draught. Excellent domestic example of Belgian Golden Strong Ale, ala Duvel. Pours to a slightly hazy, deep golden color with a thick, and creamy, white head, and a good bit of carbonation. The nose on this beer is very well done, with good aromas of pale malt, and peppery alcohol. The palate is firm, with more good pale malt flavor, and a nice back drop of corriander. Finishes with more good pale malt up front, then ends dry and peppery, with some alcohol heat. Great aperitif beer, and very food friendly. A nice foil to buttery or strong cheese, and a good match with beef, lamb, or game. A great beer, from a great CA brewery.

bottle, pours deep gold, white frothy white head. Corriander and light candy sugar nose that is powerfull and does not stop smelling amazing. White grape flavor with some maltyness and spice in the finish with a little bit of heat. A beautiful beer full of character.

2012 Vintage (750ml) from Brewdog’s Online Shop:
Another brilliant beer from AleSmith, the quality really shows through with this one and it is remarkably easy to drink despite the fact it comes in at 11% abv. and is packed with flavour. It’s more fruity than I was expecting but the balance is great and the carbonation is perfect, helping the beer down far too easily for the strength of the beer. Simply put, this one is a must try for any beer fan and one that was well worth the very expensive price tag - definitely a beer that has aged well since I picked it up a couple of years ago.
