ogglethorp (800), Ohio, USA May 26, 2007 Bottle. Pours a golden copper color with a small pillowy white head. Aroma is orange, clove, coriander, honey. Flavor is orange, honey, yeast, candi sugar, peach, pale malts, corriander, apricot, alcohol. Palate is medium bodied, mildly carbonated, finishes warm and on the dry side. I loved it, every single drop. Nice alcohol kick, I see where they get the horny from, fruity enough to be a girly drink, but enough alcohol to get the panties dropping!!!
nqualls (420), Tennessee, USA Oct 6, 2008 Bottle. Poured a cloudy gold color with a thin white head. Aroma of spice, candied sugar and fruit. Flavor was caramel malt with candied sugar, and warming alcohol. Medium body with soft carbonation and a maple syrup mouthfeel. chicagodri (539), Chicago, Illinois, USA Sep 27, 2008 Pours a hazy yellow with a medium white head. Nice aroma of yeast and coriander. It is fairly sweet with orange and sugar. I must have already been drunk because I thought it was relatively light and easy to drink...had no idea it was 10%. Another solid beer from a great brewery. juiceisloose (336), Orlando, Florida, USA Sep 15, 2008 Courtesy dragonstout. Pours a hazy golden yellow with a small white head that leaves nice lacing behind. The aroma shows notes of citrus fruit, spices to go with a big belgian candied sugar and caramel malt base. The flavor follows suit with the citrus fruit and candiy sugar dominating with the caramel malt sweetness and alcohol on the backend. Medium bodied with a syrupy mouthfeel that goes down smooth with a warming, sweet sugary finish. This one had a lot of sweet flavors to it with the orange citrus and candied sugar. Pretty good stuff here. DragonStout (1182), Orlando, Florida, USA Sep 12, 2008 Pours a nice golden color with a small lacing white head.Candy sugar sweet nose with hints of fruit.Flavor was crispFinished off with a nice spicy, warming feel. Lagunitasfan (63), San Diego, California, USA Sep 12, 2008 On tap at Stone. Bright and clear with a dense white head. Smooth fruity nose. Mild. Has that "fruity belgian" flavor. Teases with the sour/pucker punch, but that fades quickly. To me it’s NOT overly sweet like some Belgians are (again, TO ME!). In terms of Belgians, it’s better than most. Not my fave brew ever, but not the worst either.
