matthewjk (42), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA Nov 3, 2009 Not sure what to say? Very disappointed in this highly-regarded IPA. Very small chance this was a bad bottle, but this doesn’t appear to be the case. Of course no date on the damn bottle to confirm if this was a problem. As of now, I can’t rate this as a top-notch IPA. Bitter aftertaste lingers on the finish. hombrepalo (726), Chicago, Illinois, USA Oct 27, 2009 Bomber from Byeager (Brian) from BeerAdvocated. Thanks man! Deep orange color with a rocky off white head. Great citrus aroma. mostly orange and grapefruit. Hop bitterness matches the aroma. There is also a perfume like hop taste. Slightly sweet malt backbone with some honey. Nice west coast IPA. Not totally what I was expecting. Not a hop bomb. Great IPA but not the greatest for me. hirigalzkar (544), Stockholm, Sweden Oct 24, 2009 Bottle. Ap: Dark orange, hazy, creamy white head. Ar: Grape. Small sweetness. Fla: Fresh and fruity with a strange chemical bitterness. Really like the fruitiness of grape and oranges. Pal, Ov: Big bodied and balanced. Top class IPA! finol (468), Nacka (Stockholm), Sweden Oct 24, 2009 Bottle from Ölbutikken.
Pours hazy golden with a big creamy head.
Lots of oranges, crisp citrus with a malty background.
Bitter but balanced. Adenila (930), Denmark Oct 24, 2009 These absolute top rated beers within their style are often pretty standard but rock solid, this is no different. Nice orange look with a foamy white head. Citrus, pine and grape aroma with some nice toffee malts. Flavor is nice fresh and bitter with a fulfilling warming finish. Not spectacular but damn good. fschoening (6), Denmark does not count Oct 20, 2009 This beer is beautiful. This beer is a massage on my tongue. This beer gets me drunk in my soul. This is maybe the best beer in the world. keidjxz (41), Irvine, California, USA Oct 20, 2009 Pours opaque golden orange with hop sediment suspended within it.
