COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
AleSmith IPA used to be known as "Irie Pirate Ale." However, some nasty patent attorneys think the name is too similar to another brand, so we had to "cease and desist." It's a darn shame, but it beats an obnoxious legal battle, in both expenses and Excedrin. Don't worry though, we won't change the beer (which is a MUCH better IPA than that "other" brand). It was conceived as an American-style IPA to satisfy the yearnings of the most die-hard hopheads. Its high alcohol content may catch you unawares if you're not careful, but it's hard to resist once you've tasted it. Appearance: Deep golden to light amber color, and a nice beige head, with good retention when properly served. Flavor: Starts off with strong citrusy, resiny flavors, balanced by a nice malty sweetness, then fades to a dry finish with a lingering hoppiness and a faint hint of plums and black cherries. Aroma: Strong piney-citrusy character, with vanilla in the background. Mouthfeel (body/texture): Smooth, medium-bodied. Feels warm in the mouth from the alcohol.

I Poured the bottle into a Imp pint glass and was greeted with a two finger cream colored heat that laced out well. The body of the brew was a hazy orange in color. The aromas of fresh oranges and grapefruits filled my head. Flavor wise the brew leans more towards the hops than Malts which is what I expect from a Ca. IPA, but there was some malts so it was not what I consider a hop bomb. It was a good IPA. I don’t know what the hype was all about. I had a rather fresh bottle and shipped in the winter so I would think it was a good one. Don’t get me wrong I would drink it again I went down great but it was a rather average IPA to me Serving type: bottle

Orange coloured, a good sized white head that holds nice and sticks good. Smell is good hoppy, citrus. A bit sweet. Very pleasant. Taste is bitter citrussy hops, lightly some nice sweetness gets slightly trough. Good hoppy biterness that holds a good time.

Golden beer, white head. Very pretty scent of citrus and flowers. Almost honey-ish and pine too. Sweet and tangy. Taste is tangy too. Piney and dry with juicy citrus moments too. The pine, dryness, and juiciness are all blended well together. It’s tangy and rich and delicious. An excellent ipa. A standout for sure. The hops are somewhat muted but they pack incredibly rich and full flavor. Absolutely great.

65cl, American brew, thx to MadsNP!, complex bitter brew, yet easy to drink, very balanced, hazy, rocky head, very good brew, yet expensive!

Bottle shared at a Damico beer tasting. Pours an amber color with a white foam head. Has an aroma of apricots, grapefruit, caramel, and pine. Sweet citrus taste with a nice hop hit. Smooth and creamy. Loving it.

Pours a clear light golden brown with little lacing and head which settles after a few minuntes The nose is amazing fon an IPA with hoppy and malty aromas. Tangerine and cumquat are present. The first sip is amaingly balanced. Bready slightly yeasty flavors with roasted maltyiness followed by lingering biterness. The finish is clean and delicious. The bitternes is great.

Hazy golden body, big white head. Aroma of caramel, pines, yeasty fruits. Flavour has roasted candy, lots of fruits - peaches and apricot. Soft bitterness, well carbonated. But the best of all - can’t imagine better mouthfeel. This is just awesome. And it means so much in beer.
