3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 12/20
22 oz bottle: Light amber w/ a lasting medium sized white head. Grassy and lemony hop aroma @ first that becomes herbal & grapefruity w/ some toasted & bready malt. Very little caramel@ first, moderately fruity(mostly from hops). well balanced, throughout, but finish & aftertaste, as well as initial flavor are of citrusy hop w/ some hints of bitterness mid palate into the finish as it warms. toasted malt but still very little caramel, and a bit more pale ale flavored in regards to bitterness. Medium body, low carbonation, dry m/f as expected, wll hidden alc. Good as IPAís go, not great, but Iím quite certain itís not worth the 9.00 I paid for the bottle when everyone else is around 5.00!!!!

4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
22 oz bomber. Pours a light copperish caramel color with a fine thick white head. Smells like pine needles and hops. Has a very citrusy taste with a piney aftertaste. An excellent IPA. Very similar to a Stone IPA.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Transparent gold in color with some tiny cloistered bubble colonies breaking everywhere at the surface - itís like looking down into a volcano. Nice nectarine, grapefruit and apricot aroma. Flavor leads in as crisp with hops placating the palate from the get-go. A hops crescendo rises to a bitter peak and is joined by just malt support. Some discernable alcohol, along with elements of papaya, sweet dried oranges and nectarines, and sugar-sprinkled grapefruit help to round out the flavor sequence. Each first sip of each pour (about 4 oz. at a time) would hit like acupuncture on the tongue, but the sips at the end of each pour would be losing the initial liveliness of the carbonation. Finishes with a slight hint of the bitterness displayed, transitioning into a honeydew aftertaste. Overall, a solid IPA.

I had this about a week ago and Iím sitting here wondering if this is the best IPA Iíve ever had. Iím not sure what would top it. I prefer Alpha King, but its not truly an IPA and I definitely prefer this to Stone, so maybe it is my favorite. Just wonderful stuff-hoppy, complex, well balanced. Wish I could drink it more often. Badass...

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottled. Pours clear orange with a sizable ivory-colored head. Oranges and grapefruit in the nose. Big resiny, pine flavor. Maltiness reminds me of walnuts and sunflower seeds. Spicy for an IPA- but not in a bad way. Great beer

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Thin frothy head. Off-white in color. Succulent, juicy hops aroma. Grapefruit, spruce, citrus, its all in there. Makes my mouth water. Color is a dark golden orange. Wow, crisp and unbelievably easy drinking beer. More hops with a some malts for backbone. Great balance. Plenty of spruce in there with a hint of butterscotch. Finish is slightly dry with good lingering bitterness. A great IPA. Cant decide whether I like this or Stones Better.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle. Poured a beautiful amber color with a medium sized head. This was my first IPA. So now I know what hops are all about. From the first drink to the last of this 22 oz. bottle my taste buds were just amazed. I am eager to try other IPAís to see where this stands. I have a Stone IPA in my fridge, think Iíll try that one tomorrow.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Draft at San Diego Brewing Co. Nice color with a decent head. Lacing down the whole glass. Aromas of hoppy citrus and coastal sage, some pine too. Flavors were excellent. Exactly what I have come to expect a great IPA to taste like. Nice finish too. Excellent IPA.

4.2 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours with a medium-sized white head. Color is orange-amber. Aroma is hoppy, floral. The first impression as it hits my tongue is that Iíve been hit in the face with a sack of hops (not a bad thing as long as we remain figurative and not literal.) Thin malt backbone. Not as much aftertaste as Stoneís great IPA. Great hop burps, however. Well done
