3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
22oz bottle poured clear amber with a small white head. Aroma was sweet caramel hops and citrus hops. Had a good bitterness with a big caramel sweetness and a light dry alcohol finish. Overall a nice IPA, but not as good as I remember it.

Great body color, nice orange-brown with a thin white head. Aroma is excellet, citrus hoppiness with a nice light fruitiness in the back of it. Awesome taste, citrus hoppiness, light pine and some cherry and apple. Excellent ending, sweet yet with the light bitterness that is to be expected of an IPA. A very nice beer that Iím gratefull to have had the chance to have.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
bottle decants a fairly bright amber with a well-formed white head that retains well and leaves good lace. pungent hop nose is predominantly citric, but some floaral piny-ness also manifests itself, as well as some caramel notes. beer starts with a burst of sweetness, that carries a wave of hop flavor. strong bitterness dries it out a bit in the finish. big IPA - skirting the DIPA mark by not much. heavy malt body eventually becomes a distraction, even with the hops. characteristic high-cohumulone hop burn in the finish.

UPDATED: JAN 3, 2007 Bottle. Marvelous IPA. All the hops, floral, and citrus notes you could ever want. Amazingly smooth and flavorful, with a great crisp grassiness. A classic style done the way it should be. Way better than Stoneís IPA.

22oz bomber via trade with 46er3498! - Thanks Tom! Pours cloudy amber wtih a nice full creamy offwhite head that stays very well and laces the glass. Aromas of beautiful c-hops.. Nice pine and grapefruit blast mainly but there is some subtle caramel behind it too. Flavor is good and hoppy.. Grapefruit, apricots, pine.. But there are sweet caramel and toffee notes underneath that balance this one out quite well.. Good smooth creamy palate with adequate carbonation and a good soft mouthfeel due to the balance.. This is probably the most drinkable IPA Iíve had to date.. Delicious.. Used to be common around here but for some reason I had to trade for it.. Iíd do it again in a minute though.. I really liked this one..

Bottle provided by Odeed, Thanks Jake! Nose was hops, hops, and more hops, along with a citrus hint; Golden color with a good off-white head. Flavor of hops and more hops without being overly bitter, and a little caramel. Almost as good as Hopsicle

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
22 oz. bottle poured a clear gold/amber with ahuge white frothy head that left fantastic lace. At the end of the glass, and I only poured half of the bottle intitially, there was still a 1/4" head left. Amazing for an IPA. Substantial citrusy and spicy aroma with a backgrond of some sweet caramel. Rich, smooth mouthfeel with medium bodythat leaves a rsinous coating. The carbonatin is surprisingly light given the huge head. The flavor starts off with a light maltysweetness, but is soon replaced by the bitterness of peppery spice and grapefruit. A long lightly bitter finish brings everything to a satisfying end. I was expecting this to be overrated, but it certainly lives up to itís well deserved reputation. A simlply wonderful beer.
