It’s Pretty Awesome. A San Diego classic, AleSmith IPA showcases the versatility of American hops. Aromas of grapefruit and tangerine lead into an abundance of fresh pine and tropical fruit notes followed by a crisp, resinous bitterness. The complex hop profile is supported by a firm malt presence to create an incredibly flavorful and well-balanced IPA.

7.25%ABV.  IPA. Poured out deep gold. 10ºSRM. Nose has pine, magnolias, and toasted malt sweetness. Mouthfeel is soapy.  Palate is graham cracker with honey,  There is a bit of a curious almost "fishy" pop which then disappears to slide into malty, hoppy finish land.  Hops are bitter melon, oily, resinous, nice  floral flavor notes of magnolias, freesias, carnations.  Goes on Favorites List!

Tap at Public House. Dark amber with a thin white cap and medium lacing. Clover honey, apricot, light floral quality, black pepper and resiny. Medium sweetness cut by a spicy, floral bitter finish. Lighter medium body with a watery feel.

0,65 L Bottle. Clear golden with a lasting head. Aroma of pine, citrus and tropical. Taste is citrus, tropical and caramalt. Its bitter and even if the caramalt is there its still on the bitter side (as IPAs should). A very good IPA. Just as I hoped its not overrated.

Medium amber with some suspended particles. Aroma is big fruit cocktail, blood orange and tangerines, mango. Sweet malt backbone, big citrus, pine, grapefruit in mouth not nose. Very refreshing. Long developing finish with drying giving to last bits of carbonation. Wow.

Bottle - 12oz. Beautiful hazy amber body with a thin, off-white frothy head. Awesome, well balanced hoppy aroma with malty, mango, melon, and some subtle butterscotch hints. Its sharp, robust hoppy taste carries malty, woody, citrusy, and grainy notes. Ends with a long, moderately warming, bitter finish. Fantastic IPA.

Clear dark yellow with white head. Nose is citrus, pine, and tropical fruit all combined over a caramel body. Sweet, perhaps overtly so. Bitter with abovementioned tastes. Medium body and slick palate. An excellent IPA.

Tap at Uiltje bar, Haarlem. Clouded amber with a small white head. Aroma is light citrus hops, not picking up too much, could be my cold... Taste is moderate bitter, light sweet, light fruity hops, malts, bitter hoppy aftertaste. Not bad.

22 oz bottle from Whole Foods in Western Henrico The IPA poured a clear amber with a white frothy head and lacing. This is one ale I have been looking forward to having. The aroma of floral hops, grapefruit greets you. A very balanced IPA with citrus bitterness filling your mouth at each swallow. The medium body ale has average to fizzy carbonation. Great ale with a nice warm bitterness at the finish on the front of your tongue.

Tap at Craft Heads. Big white grapefruit, citrus and lemon nose with crackery malts and some light tropical notes as it warms. Above average carbonation with a medium body that feels light. Tons of dank weed on the palate with some grassiness as well. Bitter on the palate and bitter finish. Lots of citrus in the finish as well. Very nice.

A really fine West coast IPA. Pours yellow orange, big fluffy white head. Nose is pine, apricot, resiny. Taste is beautifully bitter with some sweet fruity notes. Big flavors but refreshing. Not quite Pliny but damn close.
