It’s Pretty Awesome. A San Diego classic, AleSmith IPA showcases the versatility of American hops. Aromas of grapefruit and tangerine lead into an abundance of fresh pine and tropical fruit notes followed by a crisp, resinous bitterness. The complex hop profile is supported by a firm malt presence to create an incredibly flavorful and well-balanced IPA.

Aroma is a blast of citrus and grapefruit and pine and hops. Pours a fairly clear orange/amber, with a thick white head. The taste is upfront perfectly balanced citrus and pine with a nice bite. Beautiful balance. Delicious and refreshing. First class ’all time’ IPA.

Sampled @ Pgh Beerfest. Nice citrus and pine aroma. Pretty good citrus flavors. Not too harsh but a little on the bitter side.

Aroma: Classic west coast ipa aroma, very hoppy with tropical fruits and pine, also malty on background. Appearance: Clean orange to amber, white 2-finger head. Taste: Medium sweet, medium bitter, tropical fruits juice, malt. Palate: Medium body, juicy texture, average carbonation, bitter finish with solid malt backbone which keeps everything in great balance. Overall: Masterly balanced as every alesmith beer I have proved so far, delicious, world class west coast ipa.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a hazy amber with off-white head. Excellent lacing. Aroma is grapefruit, citrus, pine, and malt. Taste is citrus, grapefruit, caramel, malt, and pine. Has a nice piney, bitter finish, but has enough of a malt backbone to keep everything in balance. Medium-bodied. Very tasty. Nice to finally see AleSmith in Texas.
