nihar (68), Ohio, USA Aug 27, 2007 Pours amber with a thick frothy white head.... aroma is very floral and hoppy... bitter taste with a hint of citrus and pines.... very smooth texture dankman38 (228), Somewhere in, Ohio, USA Aug 21, 2007 I got a bottle from CBKSCHUBERT and I have one thing to say about this, it is the best IPA I’ve ever had, hands down. Loaded with grapefruity goodness and just the proper amount of bitterness this beer pleases IPA lovers and people who can’t really handle the intense bitterness an IPA can put out. masonjer (557), Holt, Michigan, USA Aug 20, 2007 Poured a nice golden color into a pint glass. Smelled nice, but not as aggressive as some. Taste is hints of citrus, lemon, pine, with some nice balancing malt. This beer is quite drinkable and very balanced. Not as sharp or powerful as a lot of other IPA’s, but expertly crafted. Comes together great. jdp (54), Texas, USA Aug 18, 2007 Bottle from Bevmo in Solana Beach, CA. Pours a amber brown with a very nice beige head. Smells of spicy hops and sweet malt. Taste is over pine, grapefruit, and resin with a nice caramel sweet malt backing. This beer has so many subtleties that it is hard to describe it all. But I’ll say this.. you see everyone saying this is a great beer and the best of the IPAs... well, it is. It is definitely one the best out there and deserving of a great rating. If you have a chance to have this beer, don’t pass it up. Also had this on draft at the Stone World Bistro and Gardens, but didn’t rate it at that time. ogglethorp (882), Ohio, USA Aug 18, 2007 Bottle. Pours lightly hazy copper with a large light tan head. Aroma is citrus, pine, grapefruit, orange, mango. Flavor is grassy, pine, grapefruit, caramel malt, orange. Palate is medium bodied, medium carbonation, finishes bitter, with a prickly feel. Very nice, could drink this all day. vyvvy (2023), Hazelwood, Missouri, USA Aug 9, 2007 Pours lightly hazy copper with a large light tan head. The aroma is a citrus hop bomb with lost of grapefruit, some orange and pine needles. There is also some sweet toasted malt in the background. Medium smooth body with prickly carbonation and oily resin that lingers around. The flavor starts with pine, woody, earthy hops and a minor amount of grapefruit. The finish is highly resiny with pine needles and very sweet bubblegum style malt. The malt is mostly muted by the thick malts. A very nice IPA. LtJudge (431), Muskego, Wisconsin, USA Aug 7, 2007 Thanks KingpinIPA for sharing this one! Pours a golden yellow color with a white head. Awesome hoppy/citrus aroma. Nice big hop flavor.Great bitter ending that seems to last for awhile! Great IPA! Maria (6056), Thisted, Denmark Aug 5, 2007 Amber golden with a huge, nice and creamy head and a wonderfully hoppy aroma with loads of citrus and resin. The flavour is hoppy, really hoppy with a nice and powerful bitterness with loads of citrus, resin, grass and some caramel. It’s very harmonic and a real pleasure for any hop-head - yummi - thank you After4ever/Tom for this gem!! 2473
