DeweyDell (155), Columbus, Ohio, USA May 29, 2007 22 oz bottle. Pours dark dull orange color with huuuge white head that lingers forever. Lots of yeast floaties, nice lacing. Smells very sweet, lots of citrusy hops.... tastes the same... very well balanced. Would buy again. DrHomolka (725), Columbus, Ohio, USA May 29, 2007 22oz. Pours a fiery orange with a gigantic, rocky white head that takes forever to go away and leaves monster lace down the entire glass. A lot of bubbles flow to the top on this one. This is a perfect looking beer. The aroma is quintessential IPA smell: sweet, citrusy hops. Very sweet without smelling sugary or artificial, just nice natural fruit. Taste is sweet, fruity hops, crisp and bitter and even refreshing. It could use more hop kick but now I’m just being greedy. This beer does all it should do and does it very well. The best IPA I’ve had. xenthem0nk (101), Oregon, USA May 28, 2007 22oz Pours mostly orange, clear, thick head. Smells really citrusy, and hoppy. Flavor is grapefruit, lots of hops, quite bitter. Mouthfeel is carbonated. Good ipa overall. alafito (334), tijuana, Mexico May 26, 2007 Orange amber with fluffy head, good lacing. Smells like hops and oranges. Nice smooth palate and added grapefruite flavor. More bitter than sweet... a bit lacking of malts. But overall very well done, finishes milky smooth and dry. alexanderj (2212), Chino Hills, California, USA May 20, 2007 Bottle; Poured an orange-amber-gold, with a large off white head; lacing. Aroma of pine and citrus, with some caramel malt. Great smooth flavor and mouthfeel. Nice pine and citrus to start with some caramel and toasted malt behind it. Some sweetness, but not much. Lingering finish, slightly dry. Some alcohol warmth. Due to the flavor and creaminess of the mouthfeel, I might have drank this too quickly. Nephilium (541), Ohio, USA May 20, 2007 This starts off with a strong citrus/pine aroma, with a hint of tannin underneath. It pours a slightly cloudy amber, with about a quarter of an inch of head that left great lacing. This has a wonderful bitter taste, with a bit of astringency in it and a nice long finish. This is simply an amazing IPA. johnadam2002 (529), Hainesport, New Jersey, USA May 17, 2007 Poured an amber color with a white fluffy head. Aroma of pine, hops, and citrus.Taste was exceptionally smoothe with earthy hops and citrus. At first it started off a tad sweet and finished with a hoppy bitterness. A very smoothe bitter flavor. Another excellent brew from AleSmith. Thanks again Larry. chadje (129), Pasadena, California, USA May 14, 2007 Updated: Jul 29, 200822 oz bottle. Pours a nice orangeish color with a good size head. Smells citrusy and the hops taste citrusy as well, with a good bitterness. A good IPA.
