Itís Pretty Awesome. A San Diego classic, AleSmith IPA showcases the versatility of American hops. Aromas of grapefruit and tangerine lead into an abundance of fresh pine and tropical fruit notes followed by a crisp, resinous bitterness. The complex hop profile is supported by a firm malt presence to create an incredibly flavorful and well-balanced IPA.

IPAís are usually too hoppy for me, but this one was enjoyable. Huge taste difference between bottle and chilled glass. Bitterness was lessened in glass and allowed for subtle sweetness and citrus note. Very strong, hoppy flavor nonetheless. Just a little too much carbonation for me. Overall a great beer.

Light amber with medium off-white head. Nice, bit sweet hoppy aroma. Nice bitterness with fruity notes, lasting bitter aftertaste.

Bronzed body with a fluffy, off-white head. Pineappley burst in the aroma and flavor. After some aeration, pine makes its way onto the palate as well. Well-balanced bitterness. Medium-bodied. Overall--just solid--was expecting more from this one after all the hype. May have to try again.

Bomber pours a hazy golden/orange with a lasting dense white head that leaves good lacing. Aroma is full of grapefruit, tangerine, and pine. Taste is bitter but this is not an all-out hop bomb. Plenty of malty sweetness in the middle provides good balance before a short bitter, slightly dank finish. Body is medium with slight carbonation and a surprisingly crisp mouthfeel. This is one of the most memorable IPAís Iíve tried and one Iíll definitely seek out again, now that Alesmith is available in the Midwest.

Big bottle in Amsterdam. One of the great ones. Nice amber body with huge head. Nose of hops, floral, grassy, pine. Taste of fruits, sweet, hops. Really nice extended release of hops and pine and grapefruit. Very nice finish.

Iíve had some awful ipas/beers and this is polar opposite to them. This is a West Coast ipa to the fullest extent of the law. Absolute grapefruit, pine and citrus bomb on the aroma. Really resinous and dank. Tropical fruits shine through as it warms up as well. Taste is super dry, bitter and full of citrus and more pine and tropical fruit. Really juicy and fresh ipa. I finally found this in Virginia and I donít know if I just got lucky or Alesmith is sending beers out east, but this was an absolute perfect ipa and Iím so pumped I finally go to try it. Will definitely seek this out again. Cheers!

Pours straw with some haziness. White, dense head, some lacing. Nose of fresh cascade hops, dried fruits, and grape. Nice, mellow grapefruit, dried hops on the aroma. Some sweet malts. Somewhat weak finish, but a good IPA.

Aromas of fresh hops and sweet caramel malt some minor dry citrus. Bright white foamy head and golden body. Light piney citrus flavors and and a sweet fresh hop flavor that ends with a nice bitterness. Smooth and crisp on the palate.
