4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 brentfeesh (1191) - Gadsden, USA - MAY 5, 2005
UPDATED: MAR 20, 2006 Pours a golden orange color. A bit hazy with a light white head. Citrus hops (primarily grapefruit and citrus peal) mixed with fresh grain highlights from the malt make the aroma most enjoyable and fresh. The taste is very bitter. Strong grapefruit is present throughout as is a citrus peal taste towards the end and during the after taste (which lingers long). Carrying this along is some greenish grain (hay comes to mind). The body is crisp and smooth. Moderate carbonation. Not too bad but not my favorite.
Chalk this up to changing palet I suppose. Retried at the 2nd anual ides of March beer tasting at my house (3-18-06). Noted a color difference this time around that I described as hazy onion skin. No change score. Aroma notes are surprisingly similar though I noted some grassyness and not grapefruit. Still enjoyable but more balanced than I noted before. The taste is what really changed for me. Much more balanced than I noted before. Malty chewy caramel with a citrus pine hop blend that was in no way over the top. Great aftertaste of malty caramel sweetness (worth of 2 more taste points). Creamy sticky mouth feel (impoves the palate rating one point). Overall, I’m looking at a 4 here minimum. Glad I took a chance on this one again.
4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 kryon (265) - SWEDEN - MAY 25, 2012
Pours golden with frizzy medium head.
Aromas are... Wow! Explodingly hoppy aromas of grapefruit, tropical fruits and caramel malts. This is the perfect aroma!
Taste has citrus, breadyness, caramel, some apricot/peachy tones as well.
Palate is really good. Starts out quite hitty with some frizzyness, mover over sweet and end very bitter.
This is a really great IPA!

Pours clear deep golden with a long lasting off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel pine, citrus, orange and grape. Taste is medium sweet and medium bitter with a long smooth light malty, bitter and dry finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Pours a golden orange color with a paper thin head yet remains highly carbonated. Aroma of biting citric hops and a mild malt attempt to balance. Not as powerful as some ipas but easy drinking and very tasty. Mouthfeel is so smooth and keeps you coming back for more!

A top notch IPA. It’s one of my favorites. I have to say this brew gives a great after taste. A must try for any hophead.

UPDATED: MAY 21, 2012 En mycket väl balanserad IPA. Smak och doft av humle, tropisk frukt, citrus, örter, en aning vanilj, karamellsötma med en trevlig grapebeska som avslut. Jag gillar den lätta kolsyran med de små bubblorna som smeker insidan av gommen med all arom.

Bottle big thanks to watson1977. Pours clear bright amber with a nice sudsy off white head that slowly settles to a sudsy film and lacing. Aroma is big citrus grapefruit/pine and resinous with a subtle sweetness. Taste is more the same big bitter/resinous piny hops and citrus fruit (grapefruit) and malt which shows light caramel. Palate is dry and sticky. Really well put together IPA. Awesome stuff! I’ll take more of this whenever!

Lots of citrus in aroma. Colour is amber and appearance is hazy. Nice amount of bitterness with just the right amount of body. Good balance between hops and body. Long finish. Fantastic IPA.
