COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Itís Pretty Awesome. A San Diego classic, AleSmith IPA showcases the versatility of American hops. Aromas of grapefruit and tangerine lead into an abundance of fresh pine and tropical fruit notes followed by a crisp, resinous bitterness. The complex hop profile is supported by a firm malt presence to create an incredibly flavorful and well-balanced IPA.

On tap at Gingerman in NYC on 8/6/12, served in a tulip.

Pour: Light amber, slightly orange with a finger and a have cream/white head. Leaves excellent lacing.

Smell: Pine, orange, grapefruits. Some caramel sweetness in there too,

Taste: Lots of the same from the nose, with pine resin, grapefruit being the main hop show. Really substantial caramel sweetness, that balances well.

Mouthfeel: Pretty drinkable, and not overly bitter or sweet.

Overall: Pretty solid IPA, but not one Iíd make my go to.

Cult classic IPA here. As the description states IPA means Itís Pretty Awesome. This beer along with Stone IPA really paved the path for what we are seeing today. This beer pours a golden amber color with a beautiful fluffy white head. Aroma is huge floral and citrus bouquet. Taste is sweet pine and tropical fruit notes with a nice even bitterness and malt backbone that compliments it. Top notch San Diego Classic.

Bottle. Actually the description on the bottle, which is pretty much the description on RB nails it completely. Thatís really what itís like. Not sure Iíve ever seen / agreed with one quite so much. Very tasty stuff. I was expecting it to be decent but this was better than hoped. Quintessential US IPA. Will be seeking out more of this.

Perfect San Diego style IPA. Big pine and grass notes in nose and flavor. Very ver mild malts with hop flavor and bitterness balance at perfection.

Thin white head, floral and piney smelling. Very solid. Might have been over-hyped for me, but itís really good.

Aromas of citrus and citrus peel. Huge white head with lots of lacing. Sweet candy taste with a bitter pine finish. Balanced well but Iíd like to see more hop flavour ... maybe lemon drop.

Pours deep amber with thin white head. Nose is hoppy. Aromas are toasted malts, tropical fruits, citrus and resinous pine, with a salty note. Fizzy carbonation, oily texture. Medium bitter finish mainly resinous. Well-balanced, refreshing and pleasant IPA. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
