thanks to az wine for the free bottle, although $3.89 is a great price to pay. citrusy, soapy nose. starts out quite malty and citrusy and finishes with a huge hop drop kick.. i’m not really an IPA guy but could find myself silly drinkin’ this. 3.7
re rate...been sitting on a bottle for about a year. still a bunch of grapefruit in the nose.hops flavors have mellowed a bit to let the malt sugars shine. for a regular ipa, this kicks. still a little on the sweet side though
fresh bottle...orange hue with a soft white head. candy grapefruit and orange aroma with a touch of pine essence. flavor is still a bit on the sweet side but worth it in the end... nice dry finish is rather twig-ish without being bitter. super soft mouth feel. 8/3/8/4/18=4.1

Aug 25, 2008 22 oz bottle. Bright quarter inch head reduces to dense impenetrable blanket. Smells hoppy/piney.Any movement stains the side of the glass with gooey foam. Sharp and bitter, then fruity and sweet, then bitter again. Way bitter afterburn. Stronger than some doubles. Nice.

Aug 22, 2008 pours a nice deep golden hugh. very floral scent. some citrus and fruit as well. taste is of lots of hops and a little citrus. very similar to the bells hopslam. very impressive beer. I would purchase this again for sure.

Aug 22, 2008 Thanks to Kegbear for this brew. Pour is a very clean and clear medium golden with a fluffy off white head. Aroma is amazing with tons of fresh hops, light fruit, malt, pine, and much more. Flavors are all well blended together perfectly balanced. Flavors include mellow but dominant biterness, peach, light pine, and sweet delicious malt. Damn good brew, damn good.

Aug 21, 2008 2007 Bottle - Pours dk orange with jagged and yeasty off white head, aroma is all citrus and light malt, slight pine, flavour is what most expect from an IPA, huge bitter hops, huge malts, lingers on the back end, best IPA i’ve tasted so far...

does not count  Aug 18, 2008 This beer pours a very light copper, with about an inch of the prettiest off white head you will ever see. This is by far the clearest IPA you will find and tastes as clean.The aroma is very floral, like fresh cut flowers with just enough of citrus to balance perfectly. The upfront is so smooth, it leaves you wanting more. The flavor changes at least 4 times, as it starts from the front of your tounge to the back of your throat. Take the time to drink this beer at different temps, as it wil show the complexity of the different available flavors that this beer represents. I hope this beer does not ruin all other IPA varietties for you.
