It’s Pretty Awesome. A San Diego classic, AleSmith IPA showcases the versatility of American hops. Aromas of grapefruit and tangerine lead into an abundance of fresh pine and tropical fruit notes followed by a crisp, resinous bitterness. The complex hop profile is supported by a firm malt presence to create an incredibly flavorful and well-balanced IPA.

UPDATED: AUG 13, 2013 Re-Rate: ALESMITH COMES TO WISCONSIN!!! Cannot beat a hoppy bitter fresh (7/24/13 date is less than 3 weeks old!!) IPA!!! Thanks Alesmith!!Original rating: Bomber from Bottleworks from my PASS trip shared with ck1. Pours a pale orange with a white head great lacing - very nice look. Aroma has pine, citrus, resin - some tropical fruit further down in the glass. Taste is of resin, pine, bitter citrus, some fruit for sweetness; more and more bitter thru the glass. Smooth and bitter. Finishes bittersweet. Really, really good. Smooth and tasty. ck1 says 16/17.

Aromas of fresh hops and sweet caramel malt some minor dry citrus. Bright white foamy head and golden body. Light piney citrus flavors and and a sweet fresh hop flavor that ends with a nice bitterness. Smooth and crisp on the palate.

Pours a really nice golden amber with fluffy white head. Hop aromas are really fresh, grassy, some grapefruit peel, lime, good and piney as well. Has a ridiculously smooth mouthfeel, and a very fruity, sweet, but not clingy flavors, that really slowly evolves into a solid hoppy, lingering finish. 90 minute was my favorite IPA, but this one just might take the crown.

Strong aroma of tropical fruits, grapefruit, tangerine, and pineapple. Clear amber, thick sticky yellow head. Flavor is mainly floral with lillies in the forefront, grapefruit and honey are also present. Grapefruit finish. Medium body, soft carbonation, smooth. Extremely well rounded.

22 bomber to cervoise. Pours clear gold, frothy white ring head. Aroma of grapefruit juice, orange blossom, pine needles and caramel malts. Taste is exactly how it smells. Very well balanced bittersweet with malts and hops. Mouthfeel is thick oily, good carb. Finish is pine, OJ and grapefruit bitter with some pale malt backbone. So good for a single IPA.

Pours clear amber, almost golden. Nice foam, beautiful lacings. Aroma is fresh, bit of fruits, bit of really fragrant and fresh resins. Perfectly balanced. Tastes clean, not overly sweet although fruitiness is there, resins strong but not overpowering. Just perfect. Lingering resins, pine needles, pleasant bitterness. Just right, IPA I would drink and drink and drink.
