Beerlando (1258), Orlando, Florida, USA Feb 10, 2008 Courtesy SoLan. Pours a mostly clear, very lightly hazy golden honey color. A frothy, off-white head settles to a thin layer with a marshy gathering of bubbles towards the center. Organic splotches of lacing look like cobwebs on the glass. The aroma is very fresh and fruity, with very well balanced blend of sweet malt and bitter hop character. Fresh orange juice and grapefruit hops blend well with caramel and lightly buttery toffee. The flavor follows suit, with incredibly tasty citrus perfectly complimenting the substantial maltiness. A touch of honey adds a unique sweetness. Very well balanced. The body and mouthfeel are on the heavy side of medium and are incredibly smooth. Very tasty and satisfying.
dalekliz (163), San Diego, California, USA Aug 29, 2008 On tap at the brewery for RBSG 08. Pours a clear gold with a nice, white head. Big aroma of citrus and pine hops. Crisp, clear taste with a lot of hops. Lingering hoppy bitterness. Really great IPA. Lagunitasfan (39), San Diego, California, USA Aug 25, 2008 22 oz bottle. Bright quarter inch head reduces to dense impenetrable blanket. Smells hoppy/piney.Any movement stains the side of the glass with gooey foam. Sharp and bitter, then fruity and sweet, then bitter again. Way bitter afterburn. Stronger than some doubles. Nice. amish_caravan (204), Winona, Minnesota, USA Aug 22, 2008 pours a nice deep golden hugh. very floral scent. some citrus and fruit as well. taste is of lots of hops and a little citrus. very similar to the bells hopslam. very impressive beer. Pour is a very clean and clear medium golden with a fluffy off white head. Aroma is amazing with tons of fresh hops, light fruit, malt, pine, and much more. Flavors are all well blended together perfectly balanced. Flavors include mellow but dominant biterness, peach, light pine, and sweet delicious malt.
