Its Pretty Awesome. A San Diego classic, AleSmith IPA showcases the versatility of American hops. Aromas of grapefruit and tangerine lead into an abundance of fresh pine and tropical fruit notes followed by a crisp, resinous bitterness. The complex hop profile is supported by a firm malt presence to create an incredibly flavorful and well-balanced IPA.

65cl bottle from Vinmonopolet Vika enjoyed at home. I totaly agree with the commercial deScription on this one. I might like my ipas a bit more fruity than this one, but it is a good one.

Mel starts off with a yeasty Brady smell finishing up with a hoppy delicious tropical fruit of papaya pineapple mango and other tropical fruits maybe even some Kiwi in there. Tasted delicious flood your mouth with water at first followed up by a nice papi resinous finish. When youre on your tongue for just a tad bit longer than would like. Flavors tremendous with all the tropical fruit flavor hops with a nice crisp finish. Has a nice orange e golden light tint to the beer which is delicious. First few I tried from you guys would like to try more.

New 12oz bottles at 14.99 a 6 pack. Pours golden/Amber with tight 1/2 inch head that laces nicely. Aroma of pine and dank hops with a malty bread aroma. Flavor is bursting with pine and resin. Soapy, sticky texture, but crisp, bitter and dry. Damn good regular ipa. Stone ruination, classic style west coast shit. Yum!

Aaahhh! Nothing like a fresh IPA! The bottle in front of me, that I bought from the supernaturally efficient Norwegian wine monopoly a couple of weeks ago, was bottled 24. April 2014. 24th of April last year! Thats more than 1.5 years ago! I realise that its a long way from San Diego to Oslo, but this is ridiculous! So, not surprisingly, the aroma is not as hoppy as Id hoped for. However, the aroma is actually quite inviting, and I get intriguing DIPA-like notes of overripe tropical fruits and sweet caramel. Pretty strong flavour of overripe grapefruit, ditto tropical fruits, especially peach, some pine and lots of caramel. The taste is light to moderate sweet and the long-lasting finish is moderate+ bitter. Mid-bodied, dry and with a moderate carbonation. I actually enjoyed this one very much, despite its old age. Tastes like a moderately hopped DIPA.

Tap @ Mekong. Dark golden with ample head and lacing. I get a perfumy nose plus some light pine. Flavor is a little tropical and antiseptic then bitter. The deScription sounded wonderful, but Im not getting all of that.
