On draft at the brewery. Clear brown pour, with a light tan head. Toasted malt, coffee grounds, nuts, and light caramel. Nice enough, but the coffee isn’t amazing, nice and drinkable.

Tap at brewery. Pours clear brown with creamy off-white head. Aroma is rich coffee, toasted and caramel malts, and faint vanilla. Flavor is dry and malty with some toast, coffee notes, light roast, and some caramel sweetness. Medium body and carbonation.

On tap@AleSmith: Dark brown color with a small tan head. Aroma is nutty with some light coffee. Flavor is mild black coffee with a hint of nuttiness. Medium body is smooth with light carbonation. An awesome variation of AleSmith’s already fantastic Nut Brown Ale.

1/2 pint glass at the brewery. Pours a dark brown color with a small tan head that has fair retention. Aroma of coffee and coffee grounds. Taste is likewise dominated by the coffee, but its a mellow mocha type coffee, also filling in the back and sides are some well roasted walnuts and pecans. The palate is full and creamy with soft carbonation. Finishes long and dry with lingering coffee. Overall: Decent and tasty--went down easy too. I was surprised to learn that this was not a speedway variation.

On tap at alesmith. Pours a brown color with a reddish hue. Aroma is spent coffee grinds and a hint of nuttiness. Taste is initially nutty and grainy with atouch coffee finish. Nice brown ale.
