4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20 AZBennett (112) - Chandler, Arizona, USA - JUN 9, 2013
Bottle courtesy of biggsbowler. Pours black with a beautiful tan head that leaves minuscule lacing. Aromas are cream, coffee, dark fruit (blackberry, black cherry and plum, roast, licorice, cola and brown sugar. Flavors start with cream and vanilla, then coffee, toffee, caramel, plum, roast malt and blackstrap molasses. Palate is thick and gorgeous with a silkiness and decadence that is absent from a lot of beers. Overall, this is a stellar beer that really sets the bar for coffee stouts; completely amazing beer!
4.9 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20 mcberko (4146) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 8, 2013
750mL bottle, pours black with a medium tan head. Aroma of deep complex coffee notes - amazingly complex and deep - along with a little roast, but the weasel poop shines. Flavour brings out amazingly complex coffee notes - holy shit - never knew a rare, complex coffee could amplify the regular Speedway Stout so much! Other than complex coffee, there are subdued notes roasted malt, and some unsweetened cocoa. Amazingly complex as highly drinkable. The best rendition of Speedway Stout I’ve had. Incredible.
4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 dbarnold (1079) - Bethesda, Maryland, USA - JUN 4, 2013
Smoother that regular speedway, still very rich, dark chocolate, roast, tons of coffee. Mouthfeel on this bottle seemed a little thin compared to what a remember from other variants, but it was still super awesome. Alcohol hidden so well it’s insane. Great stuff.

Midnight black with coffee head. Smells of coffee and malt in the nose. Smooth taste but coffee not really around until the finish. Good, but expecting a little more here.

I mean really? Aroma of super amazing coffee, cappuccino and vanilla bean. Taste is amazing. Roasty coffee is just right with chocolate sweetness and a chewy roast nut finish. Perfection.

since i drankt my previous what, 30? most wanted beers, this was a most wanted for quite some time ! since i didnt get mine, cause the post ’lost’ may package ( no refund at all, just ... ARGH still pisses me off)
lucky for me, bobochamps has fixed a bottle, and shared it with me . epic !
pours next to black, very small , thin layer of brown foam, wich fades in a ring almost imidiatly .
smell has nice details of coffee, withoud being straight-forward cofee infused. gentle !
MY GOHD
so ... soooo good !
its been a while since i last had the regular, but from what i remember, it was one of the ( the ?) best non-ba, non-infused, non-mixed etc imperial stout i had. this is even better. very gentle coffee, chocolate ( a bit less than the regular, to me ) very soft carbo, bitterness, sweet, roasted malts (not overpowering)
very smooth ! buttery.. complex
waawtch.. again, another beer that shocks me . i’m living an exeptional life, the last months ... this is another chapter in the book of best beers ever.
thanx ignace !
