COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Kopi Luwak Speedway Stout is our award winning year round Speedway Stout with Kopi Luwak Coffee. Considered on of the world’s most expensive and rare coffee varieties, the beans are specifically selected for their ripeness and quality by the civet, a small jungle marsupial that feeds of the fruit of the coffee cherry. Expertly roasted by San Diego’s Ryan Bros. Cofee leads to an extremely aromatic and excetionally smooth final product that complements Speedway Stout exceptionally well! Good to the last Dropping!

Bottle from Tommy, thanks! Pours a pitch black with brown head, some lacing. Aroma has lots of earthy notes, roastyness, coffee. Taste is very bitter with lots of vegetal notes, very hoppy, coffee, roasted malts. Full body and medium carbonation. I struggled to finish my glass of this one, really hard to drink. Not really bad but the bitterness and the vegetal taste makes me want to drink regular speedway rather than this one.

Similiar to the regular, haven’t had the regula in bottles though. A nice fruitiness comes through.

Bottle shared by cptnspeed1...thanks Brad! - Pours black with a foamy tan head. Nose is chocolatey and sweet like a milkshake. Coffee is in there but not super pungent. There’s dark malt but it’s not super roasty. Taste is lots of vanilla, chocolate, bitter coffee, and charcoal. Super smooth with only a bit of sharpness on the finish. Warm and soft in with a fairly thin body and soft carbonation.

Bottle thanks to mashmaster. Thanks! Poured a really dark black, not much head. Aroma is nice, rounded, smooth, smoky coffee. Very rich. Very earthy and semi-sweet in the taste. Nice beer for certain.

Chilled 75 cl brown bottle poured into a snifter at JStax tasting. Pours black with light brown head. Aroma is coffee and taste complex coffee. Side by side with regular, I prefer regular Speedway Stout.

Bottle @ Stouts Tasting Pt II. The pour’s deep brown with a beautiful, tight tan head. You can’t deny that Speedway and its variants look gorgeous in the glass. The nose is big, rich roasted malts. Creamy milk chocolate. Rich toffee coffee milkshake. Mild lactose. Hints of char, burnt creme brulee. I don’t get much coffee on the nose in this sample. The taste is quite acidic roast espresso bean. Rich earthy malt profile. Burnt caramel-covered brownie. Quite bitter on the finish. Full body, thick and oily. Overall, quite good. There’s a little too much acidity on the finish for my tastes.

10 apr 2013, bottle. Black with thick foamy head. Nose is kid of tinny, thin, meaty/oatmeal stout. Thin/med body, oiky, and moderately fizzy. Rich black coffee, serious burnt malt, oatmeal, raisin bread. Bitter coffee finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle consumed at THE stouts tasting part 2, acquired via trade. It pours very dark brown with a thick tan head. The nose is rather rich, very earthy, roasted malt, rich coffee, peppery, wood, touch of smoke, toffee and cocoa. The taste is rich-roast, aniseed, liquorice, rich coffee, light acidity, bitter chocolate, some sweet toffee, ash, toast, burnt aspect, pepper and baking cocoa with a bitter, roasty finish. Full body and moderate carbonation. Tastes more bitter than regular speedway to me. Interesting and pretty tasty, but I definitely prefer the regular version! I have drank a full bottle of Speedway to myself, but this would be more of a challenge.
