COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Kopi Luwak Speedway Stout is our award winning year round Speedway Stout with Kopi Luwak Coffee. Considered on of the world’s most expensive and rare coffee varieties, the beans are specifically selected for their ripeness and quality by the civet, a small jungle marsupial that feeds of the fruit of the coffee cherry. Expertly roasted by San Diego’s Ryan Bros. Cofee leads to an extremely aromatic and excetionally smooth final product that complements Speedway Stout exceptionally well! Good to the last Dropping!

Bottle for rating #5400:   Black pour, large frothy brownish head, clingy lacing.   Sweet and ashy roasted malts, sweetened coffee, a touch of bakers chocolate.   Smooth coffee infused roasted malts.   Cocoa and bakers chocolate too.   Can’te tell if this is regular Columbian coffee or coffee beans pooped out a cats anoooose.   Still, tastes great, and is very smooth.   Warming, slight alcohol.   Moderate to full body and mouthfeel.   Lots of coffee and bakers chocolate on the exit.   Not real complex, not as chewy as I would like, but its an extremely solid, clean, and tasty coffee oriented Imperial Stout.

Big thanks to the Alum for sharing this. You rock Adam. Pours black with a tan beige head. Lots of creamy roast aromas: chocolate, hints of coffee, vanilla, and caramel. Coffee sweet flavors. Lots of chocolate that’s bitter sweet. Roasty and sweet without too much of any one thing. Alesmith has always done well in balancing coffee with the roast and chocolate, this version is no exception. Complex really good stuff. 9/4/9/4/16

750 ml bottle via daknole. Thanks, Dakine! Shared at Davinci’s wedding. Congrats, Beejay! Pours a thicker blackish hue, opaque and thicker, well hazed. Darker with legs on the swirl. Cakey brownish head sits atop and sticks around, laces well and remains a cakey layer. Aromas are bigger coffee, gentle spice. Toasty roast, dark chocolate, bakers cocoa. Cocoa, biscuits and caramel. Nice dryness, roast present. Initial is fuller bodied, but still quite dry. Not thick and brooding. Some good big dark chocolate, bakers cocoa, mellow roast and coffee. Middle is a bit roasty, firmer coffee element. Touch of mocha, espresso. Firm roasty biscuits, cocoa covered. Some vanilla, coolness with roast, toast, carmelization. Some dryness, roast as we hit the backend. Finish is dry, roasty, carmelized. Lingering medium coffee. Firm cocoa/bakers chocolate throughout. Richer silky body, mellow roast and dryness linger on. Quite tasty. Reminds you how good Speedway is, guys. Tasty.

Thanks to Owen for providing this 750 ML bottle Black color with a light tan head, good retention, lacing and ABV legs. Nose is of coffee, chocolate, vanilla, dark roast. Well balanced and wonderful smell. Taste is more towards the vanilla end of the spectrum but the coffee is wonderfully done. Not too acidic and not too roasty. Get the base elements of the beer and then the coffee. Excellent. Medium bodied, low carbonation. Silky smooth. Wonderful beer for such a beast.
