4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 Vac (2445) - San Diego, California, USA - JUL 29, 2012What a great variation on the little devil. A nice touch of lactic acidity gives this beer the perfect amount of sourness. Light and crispy...a great beer to drink on a hot day.

Keg @ Alewife, Queens. Pours deep gold with a modest white head. The nose is bruised apple, yoghurt, sugar and lactic acid. Certainly a bit funky, cheesy. The taste is sweet bruised yellow apples, hints of cider-like fruity sweetness. Burned brown sugar and light fruit relish. Lactic indeed, funky on the palate Soft carbonation. Overall, fairly nice.

On tap at Alewife. Hazy yellow with almost no head and no lacing. Aroma of lactic acid, floral, coriander and sugar (honey?). Taste is about the same with some fruity esters. Acidic mouthfeel that dry the palate. I don’t know the base beer but it’s probably very different from this one. Lactic acid take almost all the place. Still refreshing though.
