COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A cross between a belgian wit and a pale ale..in essence, a toned-down Horny Devil.

I had this on tap at AleSmith and enjoyed it very much. It is an excellent Belgian style ale. Nice citrus with a bit of coriander. Good color with a nice head and a delicious aroma. Glad I had my growler filled with it :)

Pours a lightly cloudy golden with a light spicy aroma and body. Light citrus and coriander presense. Very smooth and medium bodied. Easily drinkable and quite refreshing.

Smaller version of horny devil. A light beligian ale that is very drinkable. Once again good fruit esters with a bit of yeastiness. Solid effort.

Had on tap at Alesmith Brewery
This fine Belgian pours with a golden appearance and a slight head. Aroma is sweet with hints of malt. The taste packs a punch and delivers a fruity sweetness with just the right amount of alcohol. Nicely done.

Very nice light golden ale. Some faint orange and corriander in the nose along with bananna and sweet candi-sugar. Poured nice(draft only)with a crisp head. More sweetness and bananna in the flavor. Soft carbonation. Very drinkable and thirst quenching. This would go down very easy on a hot day.

Golden color...very floral aroma. A crisp fruity taste with a great hoppiness followed by a bitter/dry finish and an overall crisp fruity flavor. I am just really beginning to love this style.

This has probably been the most disappointing alesmith beers to date. Like DaSilky, i filled up a growler of this at the alesmith brewery about a week ago. The aroma was definitely the most tantalizing aspect of this brew, just a very mild malty smell. The taste was a kick that died down quickly. The clear orange colour with minimal head and a ton of carbonation yielded a very malty, and sometimes unpleasant aftertaste. Going down it felt very generic, with mild hops and a tad too much malt. Alesmith did not go wrong by Lil Devil, but its definitely not their best brew by far.

UPDATED: FEB 23, 2003 Filled up a growler of this at the brewery today..Golden to uriney yellow color with a very nice and bright white top..
Very banana corianderish thing going on in the aroma..spicy..
smooth creamy mouthful with spiciness tingling the sides of the tongue..sweet banana notes..coriander..noticeable hop bite in the near finish that lingers on into finish..very sweet aftertaste..A lil' too sweet IMO.. and a tad too spicy

UPDATED: MAY 30, 2008 On tap@the brewery. I’m not a big fan of the belgian style, but this one is fairly nice. The goal of a scaled down Horny Devil was definately achieved. Mildly spicy, smooth and slightly complex flavor. Good job Peter and Tod.

UPDATED: MAR 2, 2003 A very impressive brew from a very impressive brewery. A good creamy head, moderate hoppy flavor. Lacks the power of the rest of the alesmith brews, but is still damn good.
