4.5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 LtDan (1484) - Los Angeles County, USA - DEC 4, 2011
On tap at Night of a Million Zillion Speedways 11/12/11 at O’Briens Pub in SD. I believe the addition of the Vanilla bean in the name and the actual beer make it a new entry.
Appearance: Pours a dark brown with a tan ring and spotty lacing.
Aroma: Vanilla extract. Coffee. Chocolate. Tootsie roll.
Taste: Dark roast. Vanilla bean. Dark chocolate.
Mouth. Full creamy sticky.
Overall: Super tasty.

Draft at night of a million zillion speedways 2011. Pitch black pour with a thin tan head. Coffee, milk chocolate, vanilla extract, and dark malt sweetness. Flavors are smooth and creamy, like a thick milk shake. Good. Rating # 3000.
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Vac (2442) - Soon to be back in San Diego, California, USA - APR 13, 2012
A nice little added bitter chocolate shows through with lots of vanilla. I have to say, it would have gotten a higher rating if the vanilla didn’t taste a little artificial to me. Still a great beer.

Served on tap at O’Brien’s Night of a Million Zillion Speedways 2011. Looks like this entry is sticking so I’ll put up my notes. The appearance is the usual Speedway deep black hue with a medium roasty brown head. The aromas are a delightful chocolate and vanilla duet. Some decent coffee additions as well. The flavors have a creamy vanilla, that are not as intense as the vanilla/coconut variety but still well done. The chocolate is a molten milk chocolate the flows well with the vanilla along all of the malt goodness. Creamy full mouth. Something just go wonderful in great stouts, this has 2 of them. Tasty.
