Slightly cloudy orangey golden colour with tiny off-white head. Fruity sugary hoppy aroma. Sweet fruity flavour with mild hoppy bitterness and some spices. Surprisingly moderate hoppiness. I guess they have tried to keep this Belgian style not American style.

12oz bottle as a great extra from hophead22. thanks, tim! been searching for this collabo for a while. pours a hazy, orange-amber with a smooth, one-finger, white head that leaves rich lacing on the glass. aroma is great with notes of fresh cut grass, pineapple syrup, peach nectar, and apple skins backed by spice notes of coriander, cinnamon, and sage with hints of lemon zest as it warms. flavor is delicious as well with a heavy dose of dry, zesty, spice notes of cinnamon, clove, and coriander backed by earthy, leafy hops, pear juice, orange pulp, and subtle hints of pineapple ahead of a sweet, toffee coated malt finsih. palate is medium bodied and smoothly carbonated with a nice balance of crisp fruit, spices, and sweet malts. overall, another great collaboration brew from stone.

12oz bottle. Clear yellow orange color, with lots of floating particles suspended inside. Minimal white head leaving a lot of lace. Great, light but sharp carbonation. Somewhat drier texture, very easy to drink. Nice, long aftertaste. The aroma is very complex and interesting. Some fruit aroma in there, like fresh tropical fruit, as well as a spice I can’t figure out that complements the hops very nicely. I’m not sure how long this has been aging for [Note: found last week at Dutch’s, some white residue under the cap], but I think it’s done good for this brew. Taste is very nice. Awesome sweet (somewhat tart) taste, with a good amount of bitterness and that classic belgian weirdness in there. Really, I wish I had more of this to analyze. I finished my 12 ounces too quickly, sadly... Definitely an awesome tripel

12 ounce bottle into chalice. Released in Sept 2008, so it is over 3 years old now. Pours cloudy golden orange color with a 1 finger dense white head with good retnetion that reduces to a thin cap that lasts. Fair amount of lacing clinging to the glass as well. Aromas of big lemon, orange, clove, pepper, candi sugar, light fruits, grains, bready/spicy yeast, and alcohol esters. Nice and well balanced aromas. Taste of lemon, orange, clove, pepper, bread, candi sugar, apple, pear, herbs, and spicy yeast. Lingering notes of pepper, clove, light fruits, bread, and spice on the finish for a while. Nice balance of flavors, with no cloying at all. Medium carbonation and body; with a fairly creamy mouthfeel. Alcohol is fairly well hidden, only a warming on the finish noticed. Quite smooth to drink, but it is still a sipper. Overall this is an excellent Tripel collab, especially at over 3 years old. Glad I got to try this.

Thanks to yespr for that one. Bottle looks a bit complex. Beer in the glass brownish, small head. Starts strong and spicy, modest sourish background. Also a bit alcoholic. Finish a bit unbalanced, but still fine spicy. Okay.

A hazed golden ale with a thin white head. In aroma, sweet honey citrus malt, orange peels, very nice and smooth. In mouth, a nice smooth malt with creamy mouth feel, light subdued spices, all nice and blended. Bieropholie import 2009. 2 year old bottle.
