COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Released shortly before Valentine’s Day, My Bloody Valentine is the red-blooded cousin of our Halloween specialty ale, Evil Dead Red. Caramel-sweet malt is delicately balanced with floral American hop varieties for a truly unique drinking sensation. A deep mahogany red color and a big, aromatic hop profile are the signatures of this seasonal ale.

Bomber pours a dark amber brown with a large khaki head. Aroma of floral and citrus hops with heavy fruity caramel malts. Hops stand out in the taste over solid caramel and toffee malts. Nice stuff, very hoppy but still with a malt profile that stands out on it’s own while being balanced.

Pours dark and thick, roasted brown somewhat murky chestnut. Aroma brings pleasant skunky hops covering sweet malts. The flavor is similar, bringing sweet and piney hops isolated from the amber lightly sweetened malts. F Valentine’s Day.

Bottle. Pours a dark translucent Red color with a small long lasting off-white head. Good Lace. Has a fruity malty hoppy grapefruit aroma. Fruity malty hoppy bitter piney spicy caramel flavor. Has a fruity malty hoppy bitter grapefruit finish. I just had to have this on Valentine’s day. Even though Patty fell asleep before I opened it at 8pm.

Had this on Valentines Day. Laugh away. Dark caramel color. Great odors of dark chocolate and cherries. Was expecting to be smoother. Overall tasty beer.

Translucent mahogany coloring with a full head. This has bits of a typical red ale, with a malty base, but more hops than a typical red. More like an IPA.

14 feb 2014, bottle. Dark red, clear. Nose is really good hop malt balance. Toast and grass hops. Med body, a tad creamy, faintly fizzy. Sugars, lightly cooked sugar, wet cereal malt. Decent. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Poured from a bomber into AleSmith snifters a mahogany with a tan head lacing nicely down the side of the glass. Aroma is of a sweet hoppiness. Taste is malted citrus & slightly floral bitter finish. Combined with a milk chocolate truffle--wow! Overall a superb hoppy brown. My most fave of all brown speciality ales! ALESMITH is exceptional!!

Bottle at home picked up at Mile High. Pour is deep red-amber with a fluffy tan head and great lacing. Earthy, caramelly, lightly toasty, bready, piney, spicy and grassy aroma. Taste is hoppy, brown sugar, caramel, doughy, somewhat spicy, soapy, and roasty with a medium bitter finish. Full mouthfeel with medium carbonation. Nice hoppy red.
