Flavor begins sweet and then becomes roasty and carmelly sweet. Flavors of crisp malt and cocoa dominate the palate. By far the best Brown ale out there. JMFG (1177), Florida, USA Aug 17, 2008 On tap @ Alesmith, RBSG. Dark amber color, moderately thick 1 cm head. Nutty aroma backed by earthy hops. Lightly hoppy, nice toasted malt finish. Light carbonation. A very nice brown, touched by enough hops to keep it from being boring. enginaaron (73), San Diego, California, USA Aug 12, 2008 On tap at AleSmith Brewing Co. Fresh aroma with slight chocolate but mostly a bittersweet brown aroma. Sweet taste with low hoppiness, slight astringency. Mildly sharp on the palate with good carbonation. Overall very good and a very tasty low alcohol drink.
