COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
AleSmith Nut Brown is a tribute to one of our favorite British styles. Deep mahogany in color, its rich, malt-forward flavor profile balances notes of biscuit, mild cocoa and earthy hops. A creamy mouthfeel and full body enhances its drinkability, making Nut Brown an extremely sessionable ale that embodies our commitment to quality.

Pours chestnut brown with an off white head that fades rapidly to tiny blinking bubbles. Aroma is roasted malt; nutty; toffee. Tangy and active on the palate. Flavors follow the aroma with nice rich chocolate malt, toffee, touch of fruit. Very smooth and flavorful. Excellent variation of this style.

Draught@CBC2015. Ambery brown colour with a mediumsized beige head. Aroma is nutty, caramelly, some mild toasted notes as well as some wooden and resiny notes. Flavour is the same, but also has some slight ripe fruits to it. Smooth and tasty.

Scipio (808) - Palatine, Illinois, USA - FEB 22, 2016
Pours a darker amber in color with a medium, bubbly, off white head. Aroma contains roasted malts, nuts, caramel, some chocolate, and lesser bread. The taste brings out more chocolate with a nutty compliment. Coffee, some roastiness and hints of caramel round this one out. Aftertaste nutty and roasted. There is a medium body, with a thinner texture, and some softer carbonation. Pretty good overall.

650ml bottle. Rich mahogany in colour with a very thin tan coloured head, very light lacing. The aroma is malty, rich, some chocolate, coffee and nuts. The flavour is nutty with chocolate and caramel, some light roast. Roasty mouthfeel, medium body, mild carbonation. FInishes long, roasty. A tasty brown ale but pretty simple. The most basic Alesmith I’ve had.
