COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
AleSmith Nut Brown is a tribute to one of our favorite British styles. Deep mahogany in color, its rich, malt-forward flavor profile balances notes of biscuit, mild cocoa and earthy hops. A creamy mouthfeel and full body enhances its drinkability, making Nut Brown an extremely sessionable ale that embodies our commitment to quality.

Draft- Let me just say that I loved this beer more than the whole rest of the flight I enjoyed at the brewery, aside from the Horny Devil. Yes, it is not a "big beer", and it does not weigh in at over 6 percent. But, in terms of drinkability, it is incredible. Super chocolate, roasty, coffee smoothness, balanced by some noble English hops. I got a growler of the Oln Numbskull while at the brewery. If I had to do it over again, i would grab this, and I HATE brown ales.

I had a sample of this on tap at the AleSmith brewery and really enjoyed it. It has a delicous, nutty flavor to it, almost like peanutbutter. Mouthfeel is very smooth and creamy. Beautiful color and head. An excellent ale.

On Tap Hamiltons. The best nutbrown made. Rich viscosity with a deep hazelnut brown. Rich head and full bodied. flavors/aromas of hazelnut, toasted malt and lightly very lightly chocolate.

One of the very best browns Iíve ever had. Poured at a good temperature with a nice, billowy, foamy, tan head that settled down after a bit to a light cover and a little lace. Color is a clear amber cherry with a couple of bubble trails. Aroma is malt, cocoa, old leather, tobacco. Flavorís slightly sweet, with a very good balance between that, bitter, and carbonic tang; also malt, cocoa, and a bit of roast. Body is just right, full, yet very drinkable and great carbonation. Finish is like flavor; session, and just plain very tasty stuff.

Aroma is a mix of nutty, earthy and slightly grainy malts. The flavor is chocolate, mildly roasted malts, coffee and a tart/acidic finish. Not many brewers can make this style as great as this is.

Really tasty beer. Very rich. Almost an Imperial english ale. Big toastiness. Grains come through nicely. Yeasty aroma. Caramel and mild hops. Slightly sweet with very little bitterness.

Jeśli piwo jest w smaku jednocześnie kremowe jak guinness, kawowe, podwędzane na torfie i karmelowo - czekoladowe: kupuję je! do tego to delikatne, orzechowe muśnięcie na finiszu... Genialne piwo! Doskonale pijalne, nienagannie ułożone.

8 oz taster at brewery, Medium brown color with a light malty aroma. Body is smooth, sweet and nutty. Very lighty and appropriately hopped, especially coming from the west coast. Finish is roasted and long lasting. This is one of the best brown ales Iíve had.

I donít usually post my stuff on RateBeer because Iím lazy but the guys at AleSmith were really great to talk with. This beer had nice color. It balances hops and sweet chocolate better than any beer Iíve seen. Another greaat accomplishment by my new favorite brewery.
