Way too fruity for my taste. Maybe this place needs to clean their taps, but this is not a good porter.

Draft at The Collective Tap, Woodinville. Beautiful ring head on deep brown. Pretty, robust brown. Mild syrup. Robust (yea… but its a good word for this) cocoa-coffee. Clean, delicious. Love it.

Pours a rich brown color with a coffee malt aroma. Taste is similar, with earthy tones mixed with coffee and minor roasted malt. Some dirty bitterness to this beer involving chocolate in the aftertaste.

Blind porter tasting, thanks to Eugene. Milk chocolate, roast, dough. Pretty balanced nose. Well-balanced. Dark brown with red highlights; irregular lacing. The word on this is balanced -- not too sweet, not too roasty. Still pretty dull, but nicely constructed. Milky sweetness with lightly bitter roast finish; lasting coffee. Medium+ body with creamy texture. Overall: best so far. I’m willing to take a little bit boring (for an admittedly boring style) for such a nicely balanced beer.
