neuromatt (858) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 29, 2013
On tap at the brewery, served in a tasting glass. Pours clear mahogany with a moderate tan head that fades quickly to a thin remnant and laces well. On the nose there are notes of coffee, toasted malts, herbs, earth and subtle coffee with a hint of English hops. The flavour is well balanced between light sweetness and light bitterness with toffee, coffee, dark fruit, earth, herbs and subtle flowers. The finish is long and malty with toasty notes and subtle hops. On the palate it is medium in body with a milky texture and soft carbonation. Overall, this is a very nice porter. Surprisingly fruity and very well balanced. 2013-03-23
