COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Barrel Aged Kopi Luwak Speedway Stout is our award winning year round Speedway Stout with Kopi Luwak Coffee that has been matured in premium bourbon barrels. Considered one of the worldís most expensive and rare coffee varieties, the beans are specifically selected for their ripeness and quality by the civet, a small jungle marsupial that feeds of the fruit of the coffee cherry. Good to the last dropping!

Wow! Big black pour with a chocolate brown head. The balance of barrel notes, coffee, chocolate and roast are stunning. Only a slight hint of alcohol stopped this from being a 5. Rating number ten just for nbutler11!!

Huge tip of the cap to my main man Hopscotch for sharing this beast. Sweet bourbon nose. Dark brown/black pour with a chocolate head. Good lacing. A real stunner with sweet chocolate, caramel, and smooth bourbon highlights. Perfect mouthfeel and balance with vanilla, oak, and expresso undercurrents. The barrel aging of this beer makes such an unbelievable difference. WOW......

From the bottle, black pour with a small tan head. Coffee, chocolate and fudge aroma. Taste is chocolatey and a faint booze flavor. This is damn good! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

750ml, black foiled bottle, via trade. poured to celebrate the completion of my residency training, this one sits a dense, inky black in the glass capped by a creamy, cocoa head that leaves rich, oily sheets of glass. aroma is spectacular, just so simple and clean, with notes of bakerís chocolate, graham cracker crust, butter pecan icing, vanilla, and toasted oak complemented by roasted malts, fresh ground coffee, figs, cinnamon, and bourbon. flavor is nothing short of perfect, exactly what a barrel aged imperial stout should be, with deep, dense roasted malts, bittersweet coffee beans with a touch of tart fruit, dark chocolate, toffee, and sweet vanilla backed by hints of french toast, ash, toasted coconut, and smooth, oak barrel with a hint of spice. palate is full bodied with a cream mouthfeel and just a marvelous balance that keeps it from being too sweet or too boozy. i still think the regular barrel aged speedway on tap (havenít opened a bottle yet) is one of the best beers iíve ever tasted but this is right up there. the guys at Alesmith really know a thing or two about barrel aging. well done.

Bottle at Deanís aged pale lager tasting. Black pour, thin tan head. Holy shit this is probably one of the best beers Iíve ever had. The aroma has roasted malts, subtle and smooth, coffee, chocolate and spices with quite some roasted malts. Flavor is very very smooth, creamy, slightly spicy, slightly bitter, great balance, slightly warming and very very very good. Amazing brew. One of the best beers Iíve ever had. Fantastic.

Bottle at Sour & Bitter #2, pours black with a small tan / brown head. Aroma of heavy bourbon barrels, potent coffee, and alcohol -- exceedingly complex, but doesnít seem that different from regular BA Speedway Stout. Flavour definitely tastes richer than regular BA Speedway Stout, with exceedingly complex coffee notes, followed by bourbon barrels, moderate roast, and wood. Amazingly complex, and perhaps my favourite of all Speedway Stout renditions. While the nose is similar to regular BA Speedway, the coffee is more pungent on the nose, adding another dimension. Insanely complex and such a pleasure to sip. World class.

Rating #1300. Huge, giant, sweaty thanks to the one and only Bman1113VR for this treat. Inky, 30 weight black pour with a dark brown head. Nose is marshamllow, TONS of coffee (french roast), bourbon, vanilla, some more bourbon, and then bourbon, tannins, oak, earth. Really incredible nose. After about 8 minutes of huffing the fusels, the taste is bourbon, coffee, earthy, vanilla, toast, marshmallows, incredible. I LOVE THIS BEER!!!! Silky mouthfeel.

A - Smells of coffee take over the aroma, bourbon is there but its subtle. Ap - Thick Black with a small tan head. Lacing sticks around slightly. T - Tastes like expensive coffee and the bourbon comes through in a smooth, semi-hot kind of way. O - Overall great beer for the coffee/bourbon fiends out there!

Bottle, graciously cracked by Hayden along with some other Alesmith goods. Drank with Bill, Mike and Hayden, Pours pitch black with off-white head. Aromas of minerals, chocolate, bourbon, coffee and wood. Taste is coconut, cocoa, vanilla extract, bourbon, fluff, rich malt and vtg wood. Where is the 12 percent because it isnít present in this shit brew? Tasty meh, tasty.....try dis.
