4.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Served on tap at the AleSmith tasting room. The appearance is a typical deep black Speedway hue. Very thick body. The nose has that great creamy Vietnamese coffee to it with a full roast maltyness, chocolate, and some small barrel additions. The flavor follows suit. Very tasty coffee. A lot more creamy/lactose then the regular version. Dark chocolate and muted bourbon add to this tasty treat. Full creamy mouth with a bit of oaky drying. Yum!

4.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
Tap at stanleys at the blackout beer fest with commonmac. 6 oz pour. Black with nice tan head. Complex almost confusing aroma, sweet and bitter clashing a bit. Boozy nose too. Wow. Tastes amazing. Sweetness is perfect upon this pillow of stoutness. Finish only gets bitter at the very end. It’s basically as if great coffee was also a beer. This is one of the best stouts I’ve had.

4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Light aroma hides really thick stout taste with just the right amount of coffee notes. A strong but not overwhelming 12%. Tap (and got the last one!)

4.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Draught @ Taproom no 307. Inky black with small tan spongy head, mocha aroma, bitter chocolate-coffee beans taste, full body, medium carbonation, long bitter mocha finish with alcohol undertones. Great stout!

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
So rich! Milk, cream, coffee, vanilla. Bourbon is kept in check. Coffee-sharp finish. A smooth, sweet blend. This was enjoyed at the 2014 Firestone Walker Invitational and may have been the best beer at the fest.

4.8 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
"In a head to head with 5 Speedways (including the base which is one of the top beers on this site) this was the best! Barreling adds a level andsmooths things out compared to the non-BA vietnamese coffee blend, which was awesome, but in comparison tasted a little young and sweet. This was near perfection!"

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
On draft at the Beer Baron. It pours a pitch black color with a gorgeous brown head. The aroma is roasted with dark chocolate, coffee and some lactose sweetness that sets it apart from regular Speedway. The flavor is sweet and roasted up front with dark chocolate, coffee and some more mild milk sugars before a surprisingly dry, roasted finish. This is a big boy for sure, but surprisingly easy to drink. Very nice. Maybe a touch sweeter up front compared to the regular version, but the finish is still spectacular.

Not necessarily a huge fan of stouts but, damn, this could be the best beer I ever had. The brewer/creator was standing at the bar next to me and I just had to share my love!
